| I love the banter on this forum.
I don't care who hates who on here either.
I don't care who is in Superbowl car park.
TRB is right.
Spoke with the club today and WE NEED EVERYBODY POSSIBLE on Friday.
It IS the biggest day in the clubs history.......it is Plan A....Newmarket! We need this stadium.
Even if you can't go, send somebody who can!
We can't let our club we love just drift away because that's what certain individuals want.
COME AND SUPPORT YOUR TEAM - I'll see you there!

| I'm not feeling very optimistic about this project. Just seems there have been too many setbacks and too many hurdles placed in our way. I don't believe the council will back us on this. They led us on a merry dance re TP and I think they are doing the same here. Why did they favour Newmarket all along as a site and then suddenly turn round in the meeting and say we are only backing one stadium and that will be glasshoughton and we want you to share? If I can make it I'll be there next Friday but I believe there will be a lot of disappointed people and this day could be the beginning of the end of our once proud club.

that's why there is a plan B to put us on,
Newmarket area will be developed come what may in some form, the council would be foolish to allow this to go to waste there more than just a rugby clubs future at stake here, this development will make us the envy of other clubs
just for one day support your club in its hour of need even if you disagree at the way its run, its our club and I won't give up at any price

That's all we ask - just one day and our future will be known!

You seem to have the wrong end of the stick as to what happened at that meeting!
The Council did say they were only backing one community stadium and that was at Newmarket

| Trust me if I can make it I'll be there, work commitments will decide whether or not I can make it. I'll never stop supporting the club I just have a horrible feeling that we are coming close to our sell by date. Fwiw I honestly do believe the council would be crazy to turn this venture down but hey this council really are crazy!

Sorry but that's not what was said. Hence us sticking two fingers up and telling them we would go it alone

| I think you'll find it is right
Why do you think Tricky Dicky Wright was so angry ... on telly and everywhere saying Wakefield had pulled out of the review, were going it alone and how pleased they would be to share Glasshoughton with us.
Do you really think he would care or say any of that if the Council had backed GH?

| Catwoman don't believe everything you are told. Politics is a funny game. Were doing this alone. The likes of trb etc deserve medals. If this comes off they can proudly say they were involved in the saving of our club

| I trust the person 100% who attended the meeting and told me the outcome.
Granted previous to the meeting there may have been certain people who were hoping to transfer the Newmarket plans, funding, Community Stadium on block to GH ... but the meeting decided otherwise

| If they were going to choose NM, why back out of the Feasibility Study? Works both ways.

See above!
It was decided by the meeting that a feasibility study, which would have cost £30,000, was not necessary.

Give over. Yes trb is part of the Rose tinted brigade and you or I may or may not believe everything that he says (well what he is portraying as what the club says). However you can't knock the time and effort he's put in in trying to make our new ground a goer, he's certainly done more than me and you pit together. I like you don't have much to say for the running of the club but should the new ground happen (I've got massive doubts it will) hopefully things might change for the better. A knighthood and freedom o the city for trb? No of course not but a big pat on the bat and a well done wouldn't be out of place.
