I saw blanchy make a hash of it and drop/throw/pass whatever the ball into touch resulting in a scrum to Wire, but didnt think the ball was kicked from inside the 40 - thats what I could do with clearing up.

yeah briers was in his own 20, he kicks more 40/20s than any one else in the league too, some one of blanch's experience should know better

so if it was a 40-20 his failed attempt to diffuse it made no difference, scrum to wire or scrum to wire, where's the problem? |

It was a good kick, possibly made to look better by the poor positioning of Blanch. Had he been close to the touchline he would been facing the ball rather than trying to catch it over his shoulder. |

Spot on - it was right in front of us and he was scrambling for position, hence the cack-handed attempt. |
