This happened on 21st May. Are we any different today than we were yesterday when most didn't know about this? This is Teds personal issue and the fact that he has gone into an IVA protects the club from the effects of his current issues.

Maybe but my understanding from whats been said in the past is that without him we wouldn't be here, so if he is in an IVA, he won't be allowed to put any money into the club, so where does that leave us, particularly when the team is playing badly and fans are considering whether they go the next week

IIRC Ted guaranteed our position in SL - that doesn't necessarily mean that he put cash in to it at the time.

FTR, all the players in the Newmarket scheme are aware of the details and have been all along. It does not effect the work being undertaken to secure our future.

In the past he kept the club going after the Pearman saga. The club are at a stage where they are self sufficient and do not need director loans to remain operating unlike Huddersfield or Quins.

This is exactly the type of thing that gives an impression of incompetence at the highest level within our club, and will not look good at the RFL.

Wonder who will be the new chairman - I suspect it will be another family member. Looks although Ted's business accumin is now up for debate and as such I think the club would be better placed in asking Sir Rodney if he would take up the job rather than having a Teds's son/daughter/any other relation take up the job. Perhaps this is actually the break the club needed with a potential change at the helm?

I'm sure there will be more details issued in due course, but a few people have had an explanation of the issues involved and it is a complicated situation - a technical one.

By going into an IVA the creditors are entitled to money from Ted. If he didn't go into an IVA they could have sought money from his companies. That's what I mean when I say it protects the club. It is NOT incompetence on the part of Ted and I would urge caution about those type of comments until the detail is known.

The RFL are aware of the details. Their response is awaited.

Rodney's influence on the stadium is best as Chairman of the Trust.

By the sounds of it he has been shafted, it's certainly not through incompetence, well not from Ted.

I would hazzard a guess that investing in newly built property in last 3 years or so - in hindsight wasn't a great idea. Wouldn't it be possible to sign the club over to the community trust now? Ted has always said he would let the club go for a £1 if a buyer could be found?
