After every election the party in power look at the boundaries and they usually 'tweek' them to make them more favourable.
For instance the Wakefield South council ward is conservative locally when you put that in Hemsworth it makes no difference whatsoever. However if it was in wakefield like it should be it would make Wakefield more of a marginal seat.
