| TBH our average crowd would be quite high this year but away fans just aren't travelling, not sure if it's their poor form or scandalous fuel prices. £1.23.9 per litre for me last time I went to the Shell garage.
Les Cats brought about 4? Usually 20
Leeds 1,500 usually 2-4k
Giants 400 usually 600
Salford 200 Usually 500
Cas 500 usually 1-3k
even KR are 2k down on usual at this stage and they haven't played here yet.

| I'm sure you'll enjoy the mining museum - give yourself plenty of time and do the underground tour; really interesting stuff.
There are always spaces to be had on one of the back streets around the stadium - I use the word 'stadium' in it's broadest possible sense of course!
Safe journey.

More likely to be what they consider to be the scandalous admission prices, it didn't take a rocket scientist to work out that away support would be down this year with a £20 admission price into what every other fan outside Wakefield thinks is a dump
The feelings across these forums when the prices were announced pre season told you that not many would travel to Wakefield this year. It appears to me that the board at Wakey made a concious decision to squeeze as much as they could out of existing fans this year and blow the av. attendances because no one in their right mind would have seriously expected a rise in adult attendances on the back of a £2 rise in the current climate.

| this wont be popular but i can see less that 4,000 going on sunday, think theres quite a lot of discontentment among even some die hards, (ie me!) at present, its not the newton thing, its the brough deal, the tronc thing, and the resulting dull performances and heavy losses.
this is the quickest ive seen us slide backwards in years, as trb said, pre kear survival season probably.
not enjoying it, love gone wrong at present.....

ask about the ghost that is rumoured to appear down there, been down twice and never saw it
as for feeling at home I prefer to put the slippers on in front a coal fire than go do another shear

| we should make sure the ground is full every home game if that means giving thousands of free tickets to the clubs and schools, then we might sell merchandise.

I do agree I know that some have said we have to charge more because we don't get big enough crowds but you'd hope that a few quid less would get a few more going to the match. At our last 2 away games we've paid £16 and £17 to get into 2 very good modern stadiums. It's no wonder away fans don't want to shell out £20 to get into Belle Vue.

If you get lucky there's a regular Sunday Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution meet in the Mining Museum car park too if that's your thing!

The Forresters Car park on Barnsley road. go in for a pint before and after the game and the owners are happy.

| giving away LOADS of free tickets to the schools is a cracking shout! the crowd figure grows, which makes us loook better, they may spend money which inevitably goes to us. and they may keep coming back... more money in the longrun. they may also bring friends... even better as they will have to pay to get in. if theyre young enough too they may also have to bring a prent who may end up coming back tooo.... win win situation
i remember when i was young they gave away free child tickets with half price adult ones to get them along too. at this point i was already a season ticket holder as were the rest of my family... so it didnt really help, but i know 3 other guys who still keep coming now. so it has worked out i guess. they should keep doing it for the low attendence matches... quins cats and celtic. i cant see how we lose
