| A move to Wrexham cant possibly be acceptable to the game... that puts the new franchise in a small town in the middle of nowhere, that has no rugby or league heritage, and within 25 miles or so of Widnes...
the whole point was to build on the interest in the game along the south wales coast... if the crusaders cant hack it in the league under those circumstances then demote them and promote Widnes... who are already established, have a fan base and a pretty good stadium... I think they also have the right to say that they massively object to a new superleague franchise, in their area and with no infrastructure, when they were previously turned down.
the game must stop this!

| ATEOTD a welsh super leauge team was always gonna be like woolworths . We all like 1 being there but in reality no one is gonna use it when there are better alternatives elsewhere.
go on shot me down for being anti expansive but im sure the good folk of widnes will now be at boiling point.

| Quote: snowie "I'd like to know cru cru opinion on this, when I chatted to him down in bridge end he said that he traveled all over the country to every away game and accrued a massive amount of mileage following the Crusaders all season, would be heartless to move for the fans that have followed them everywhere how could they expect the fans to move to Wrexham and continue supporting the club
If we do move to Wrexham, as looks very likely at the moment, I'll keep going. It works out about £10 more to support the club in Wrexham and about 1.5 hours more travelling each way.
Friday night games will be a bit of a nightmare as you can't get back so need to stop over.
If we do move then it is a choice of going to Wrexham or spend my summer sitting around with no rugby league other than on TV. I'll be there if that's what it takes. Make no mistake though, we would lose around 90% of what support we had which isn't a huge number but if we move to Wrexham it will be like starting again and in an area that is a lot less populated than South Wales. If we do move I can't see us being around for many years after that so I think it's a case of enjoy it while I can.

| To be honest the club could not have been run any worse than it has been.
Marketing has been non existant, mistakes like the VISA problems are a joke, communication between club and fans is bad and they're running the club with minimal (too minimal in fact) staff.
If we did this thing properly off the field and got people on board like Noble to sort on field goings on we could have really grown this club and succeeded down here. As it is it seems we have a lot of Nero's on board who are playing with power and have some misconception that they can run a club sufficiently. They can't and have proven this time and again.
To give you an example of how stupid some people are at the club, our early bird season ticket prices run out tomorrow. These season tickets were meant to be bought with no official announcement of signings, even though 5 or so were training with us last week and all home game venues other than the first game against Leeds at Wrexham to be confirmed. You couldn't make it up, you really couldn't. It is so bad it borders on ridiculous. If we get people who actually know what they're doing on board we could make a go of this. All I want is a nice quiet season with progress but we never seem to be able to do the basics right.

To be honest, Rugby League exists in spite of its administrators, so it seems the Crusaders club has more then taken up the traditions of the sport.
I hope all goes well and I don’t think a move to Wrexham is such a bad thing as long as a C1 or CC club is placed in South Wales to fill the gap left by the Crusaders to continue the good work of developing Juniors. It could act as a feeder club to the SL based club (wherever that ends up) and further more if it’s able to grow sufficiently and organically it may, in 5-10 years or so, become sufficiently strong enough to make an application to enter the top flight again. If after 10 years there was the chance to have two Welsh sides in the league then this would be great thing.

I believe that is the idea in an ideal world. Then again we all know we don't live in one of those.
My only hope in all of this is if the club have a clear out whoever comes in can not run us as badly as this lot at the moment. Badly mismanaged would be the understatement of the decade. It really is that bad. Another thing was merchandise. For a quarter of last season we had no merchandise at all to buy at games. We had fans willing to buy it but nothing to buy. You couldn't make it up could you.
