There is an over 35's comp on Sunday at Stanley Rangers from 12 til 3. Teams taking part - i believe - are Stanley, Cas Panthers, Lock Lane and Milford.

So if you fancy laughing at a few over the hill blokes/coach's etc come down and abuse us

Told at training last night that it's changed now. Still on but only one team coming from Halifax, game kicks off at 1pm.

for a few hours today this morning a dozen or so went down to the stanley rangers ground and helped cut the grass around the pitch, it looks in fine fetal now ready for the opening season,
we are going to use the side of the pitch also for training, the club is intend to do more improvements at a later date

Speaking from the Crigglestone perspective I'm feeling a bit gutted for the lads about this . Last season was a weird one for them really with a few coaching changes over the year . But in all honesty most of the teams in the top division , they have either beaten once , twice or only been beaten by a 2-4 point difference . ( plus I've heard Celtic ain't that good - only what I've heard , don't mean to offend )
I can't see it doing them any good by playing a division below I really can't .

On another topic - I had my touchline manager talk last night but forgot to ask if a liason officer was still needed . Does anyone else know (or would ask)

found it a bit strange myself certainly both crigg and heworth are worthy of the top group,i dont know about dewsbury celtic but from what ive heared they ship in a lot of points,time will tell but on paper both groups 1 and 2 look very strong and it may be a case of mixing and matching over the season with teams trading places.

in group 2 townville,oulton,crigg,heworth and garforth will all be competative given what i saw of them last season and that all you hope for that the games are competative and not run away score lines.

not too sure ive got a meeting with our welfare officer tommorow night and i will try and find out for you,onething for sure is without a touchline manager from each team the game cant be played.

quite shocked myself tbh , i can see group 2 being competitive but very shocked to see crigg and heworth not in the top tier.

i think Shaw cross used the get out of jail with a few wins back end of the season

no liason officer required just a touchline manager from both teams.

first week games are now out with us playing local rivals lock lane at home in the first leauge game.

dont think it matters where or who you get its going to be very hard,i dont know about dewsbury but i cant see a weak link anywhere amongst the others.

im happy to get lock lane at home has its a fixture the kids look forward to and it has the added spice that two of their best players have joined us over the close season, so its going to be a very nervous week for them two kids.
