We have a squad of rugby players and from time to time people are bound to overstep the mark. Whatever went on it is either a police matter or it isn't. If its the latter it should have been kept in house, suspend the players by all means and tell the wider world they are unavailable due to injurys at the weekend.

I have to disagree. I have a belief that Wakefield Trinity is more than a rugby club, it is a significant part of the community. I absolutely condone what the club has done in terms of making their suspension public, it shows great integrity and conviction that we as a club have standards and expectations. At a time like this when we are down to the bones in terms of injuries it demonstrates that the people in charge of our club are honerable human beings. In light of recent events where other clubs have proved to be spineless by welcoming back at the first opportunity people who have been convicted of disgraceful and cowardly acts i am heartened by the clubs stance.

You would work for a poor company that was open to litigation if they suspended you and then told all your colleagues that you were ill.

Nothing to discuss really has no one knows whats actually hapend so we need a statement from the club if not people will be just making rumours up.

No the club havn't been spinless they have obviously taken a stance. The players have been suspended so that should be the end of it. Can't see what good comes from telling the wider world. However if you feel the wider world should be told, then they should be told the full facts regarding the whole incident.

We are now in a situation were this will run and run till the facts come out, which dosn't help anyone.
