"Quote" But perhaps most impressive is another bumper Wildcats home crowd – 9,237 for a Saturday TV game in the cold and wet is a fine effort from one of Super League’s most progressive clubs "Gareth Walker the Mirror"

| I will be at next game no matter what, people of Wakefield have got to get behind the team/club if they want the club/Team win things, its no use just turning up when things are going good, we have a great coach and if the fans turn up week in week out, the money will be in place for Kear to bring in some top players, so get off your s and get down to belle vue and be loud n proud.

| We're always going to go through a bad patch just like Leeds and St Helens have recently. Every team will, it's just unfortunate ours has come during an important cup game.
I'm sure the lads will turn it around and as Kear said at the start of the season he wants to ensure we finish the season strong and not fade away as previously. Have faith

| Quote: MOPSEY LIVES ON "i dont think no one is saying weve got a divine right to win every game as its just not going to happen, but when the players have set high standards this season then they will get critism when their standards slip. were all supporters and most have seen some right rubbish over the years but i cant see whats wrong with high expectations, were not far off being a good side but spirit will only take you so far class will take you the other bit. its easy to sit behind a screen and slag fans off but if you go into pubs around the area theirs massive interest in our club but they dont get off their backsides and attend, so whilst i understand peoples frustration this is a forum where fans can express their views. i dont like some views and some dont like mine but it dosent mean i or anyone else for that matter care less about the club.'"
Problem is that some people expect us to win every game. If you are one of those people you are supporting the wrong club. I was going to say go and support Leeds or Saints. Having said that they have been having a tough time as well recently. I have seen some real dross over the years served up at Bell Vue and the reality is this club is the strongest it has been on and off the field since I started supporting them in the late 70S.

| I don't know if it's just me , but I seem to see more kids walking and playing out in wakey kits than say Leeds utd, man utd - but then you go to the game and than attendance is poor. Maybe it's too axpensive for mum and dad too so they're picking their games , and now maybe not bothering

| The problem is that Trinity are so inconsistent - from one game to the next and from one period to the next within games. We have been so mediocre for so long that when we get performances and results like Wigan, Bradford and then Wigan again a lot of people just think, "Here we go again".
There have been a lot of threads recently along the lines of, "Why don't the Wakey public get behind the team?" but the team has got to to give us something to get behind and that only comes from periods of consistent rugby (not necessarily wins) that convince people that the club and team are moving forward.
I've been really disappointed with the last three games when you compare them with the rugby we were playing earlier in the season. I've supported Trinity for 45 years and I'll be in London on Sunday but I can understand why some of the armchair supporters don't go to games - expensive, poor facilities and. most important, inconsistent on the field.

| The noise and support coming from the Wigan end was immense - I can only recall shouting Wakefield, twice throughout the game. What is wrong with everyone, it only needs some kind of songbird to get this going and get behind the lads and everyone will follow suit. Come on lets do some shouting.

We do but no one else joins in! Sky games so far you can hear us if you watch it back.
As for noise form Wigan lot they did ok, but no where near as good as Leigh fans, who are the best set of fans we have had at BV for some time IMO

| I don't think wakey are alone with regards to the 'stay away' fans. The interest in rugby league in Wakey and the 5 towns is massive, it's pretty much the most common topic of conversation in the district. Unfortunately far too many people are apathetic when it comes to actual attendance at games for whatever reason. I certainly know more people who claim to be Cas fans, but don't go and haven't done so for years, than I do people who actually attend. The exact same can be said for both wakey and fev. It's quite sad really as most of them are actually very knowledgeable about the game and would be welcome additions at their chosen grounds. It's up to the clubs, and some extent attending fans, to get them along otherwise I fear we may be left with a situation of not knowing what we had till it's gone.

Agreed, around where I live I see loads of young ones in there Wakey kit but don't go to the games as it gets expensive, which is very true. But it's the same with any club not just ours.
