Yes I agree, last time I saw him play he made three handling errors and all pretty basic.

I won't say I don't rate him. He's just a luxury player. His ball running is excellent and his defence is very strong if they run at him.
He isn't good positionally or with his ball handling.
Rovers can carry him for his positives. We can't.

He's devastating with ball in hand.

No less than he was when he played second row for us before Chester screwed that up.
In fact watching him for KR he played better for us when he first came over getting MOTM every week. He’s just rediscovering that now.
All KR have done is simply play him in his best and natural position. Something most Trinity fans were calling for and couldn’t fathom why. Who’s have thought it.

Yes, that certainly didn't help his cause but even when he was playing in the SR you never knew which Tanginoa you were going to get on the day, I remember Poaching dropping him to the reserves for. Few weeks after a few bad performances.
Someone summed it up perfectly above I thought, he's a luxury player, if your team is defensively good enough to back up his handling errors, then on a good day he's fantastic to have In your team but I think there is reason you don't see the likes of Wigan take players like this and if/when they do on the very odd occasion, you usually see a very different player to the oncw they have bedded in.

| Clearly the reason he was playing prop is that his defensive flaws are not exposed there.
Even at Rovers you can see teams scoring tries down his side when he doesn't slide with his centre and halfback.

He certainly has his faults. Though he wasn’t up for the fight to get Trinity back into SL this season and chose KR over Trinity. That’s a shame but I thought after a full season injured he would’ve wanted to help the club back up.

Yep, agree with all that, both DP and ME spoke with him about staying but he chose to go, much as I liked him, he's gone and forgotten now.
HKR still don't convince me they are the real deal yet though.
On a side note Toby Boothroyd told us today,5 weeks for his hammy.

Yeah I listened to interview. Shame for the lad but he looks to have a lot of potential and I’m sure he will start to show it more when over injury.

He is quite well set up for after the game isn’t he so maybe part of his transition.
So with only Pratty playing regular first team football and Crofty not looking like he will make muster seems we will be signing a couple of centres maybe?

| I think Thornley has done well for us so far this year but I don't think he would be quite up to Super League next year if we get there.
