| Quote: Teltry "Getting back to Milkie I can't imagine MC allowing us to bring in Gaskell and then let Miller go absolutely ludicrous. IMO Miller is a miles better player than Gaskell younger too has a bigger heart and a lot tougher. If we go down that route no season ticket for me I'm afraid. Might settle for being a tv supporter.'"
You’d choose not to get a season ticket based on the transfer of one player?
Be honest with us now, how many posters of Miller do you have up in your bedroom?

| Nothing to do with worshipping Miller but taking backwards steps as a club is just reverting to what we've done for years. MC has said on numerous occasions we are no longer a selling club and not to long ago he said we were building a team around Miller. Made him captain and now maybe let him go to play against us for another super league club if the rumour is true of course. If we replaced him with a star player then I could understand but Lee Gaskell do me a favour.

| Love this board at times it swings like a compass on the North Pole it's not long ago that Milkie shouldn't be in the team shouldn't be captain and one rumour without substance that he is on his way and he is basically irreplaceable. See what happens and see what comes down the official line.
At the end of the day players come and players go whatever happens if the rumour turns out to be fact Miller has been excellent for the club

Already a done deal apparently Khlav, they were after Austin but I have heard they have just missed out on him as he chose another SL club...

Sorry but that's pure tripe based on pure speculation, just leave it.

| Let's be clear - HKR haven't stolen Saints star import - he was told he wouldn't be getting another contract.
He's a lot slower this year and some Saints fans think he's cooked.
I'd have Jowitt over Coote every day of the week.
HKR is an expensive retirement home and they chuck money about in a never-ending, desperate attempt to get out of FCs shadow.
They fail every time.

He’s been offered a contract but Hull KR have offered a better one, much like we have done with Gaskell. And he isn’t any slower this season at all, he’s never had any pace!
As for Jowitt over Coote, yes i’d agree given their respective ages. The same goes for Jowitt over Gaskell but if anyone thinks Gaskell will be anything other than a first choice player next year they are deluding themselves. So if Miller stays you know whats going to happen.

He was offered a contract - on less than he is on now = Dufty is tipped Saints #1 next year. He's another level.
Coote would be an overseas, frontline signing.
Gaskell is a UK utility. that's where his value lies.

For Hull KR he is an upgrade, replacing the very injury prone and quota player in Quinlan. Gives them a top level goalkicker as well, something they don’t have. It’s a win for them. As for Saints Dufty would be great but as he stated in an interview the other day he doesn’t want to come over here. He’ll take any deal in the NRL first.
In signing Gaskell it likely pushes out Hampshire, another younger British utility. Personally i think the signing is pretty average value wise to be honest but there you go.

Do you mean first-choice squad player or FB?
If you mean the former I agree, if you mean the latter I don't agree.
As it stands, I can see him at centre to start with depending on Bills recovery but who knows. He covers quite a range.

Seriously, you think Hampshire has more to his game than Gaskell? I think not.
Why though are we again pre-judging a player who hasn't even played a game for us. Will fans never learn? How many times do fans get it wrong on signings, about 90% of the time in my opinion, so why not judge a player on what he actually does rather than some preconceived prejudice?
