Just to avoid confusion Starbug is the username of Steven Pike
SOMEBODY SAID that it couldn’t be done
But he with a chuckle replied
That “maybe it couldn’t,” but he would be one

So he buckled right in with the trace of a grin

Just simple things like a weights room that you can use for Free , If Leigh want to train on any part of the LSV including the stadium pitch they have to pay for it , in fact they are not allowed to train on it at all
Our home form so far this year has been about as good as our display at belle vue the other week |

Sir Rodney has stated that this (the stadium) is the first part of a massive development, I wonder what else is in the pipeline?

That was what we said  , the club is now worse off than it was at Hilton Park in many aspects of sport and business

You could find yourself out of pocket compared to Belle Vue
The whole ' ethos ' of new stadia is that they work for you 7 days a week generating money , which is fine if they are generating money for your club but if they have to generate money to pay overpaid , unneccessay council staff to run them , then things dont work out quite the same
You must make sure that you are the ones running it , yes you might have to have a couple of council controlled ' watchers ' in the management but if it ends up as council run it will be of no financial benifit
Hope it works out for you , also make sure there is at least a full side standing'"
I get your point, but there is no way we can be worse off. With it we get a franchise and without it we don't and that is 1.5 million a year. We simply can't afford not to have it, even if pound for pound it isn't as useable as BV. |

Your input is appreciated.
The stadium will be controlled by the Community Trust. Yes it includes councillors, but they are only part of the trust. A sub-committee (Sir Rodney & Co) are tasked with delivering and then operating the stadium, with the intention being that it is a stadium for us all, with Trinity the anchor tennants.
The rental costs etc have already been considered, having already been looked at previously as well when discussing Thornes.
