Personally I thought Lino went ok last night, the least of our problems in my opinion.
We created enough chances to score 30 odd points, but consistently bombed them every time the ball moved wide. Lyne Lineham and Senior were constantly out of position, and looked like headless chickens in both attack and defence. I am not even sure we had anyone playing right edge SR for most of the game.

I thought going into the game we might win..
But I’m afraid too many of our players were not at the races tonight..
We managed to get back in the game in the first half and I thought we had them on the back foot.,but the 5th tackle kick from cas (after we’d applied good pressure )that Linham dropped on our own 40 let cas off the hook…. They scored from this and the mistake from Griffin with 2 minutes to go before halftime.
More disturbing was that even after Griffins second try.. we seemed to loose any direction in the game…
I think we still have a chance to stay up, but I also think it will be extremely difficult

And yet after we scored our second try to go in the lead the Cas forwards looked jaded as they ambled back onside. At that point I thought we’d start to get on top.
How wrong was I. Started with the Lineham knock on and the now usual capitulation followed.
There are a few in the team who need to be dropped because they were anonymous last night.
I don’t think the forwards were dominant enough and, sadly, our back three were below par. Where the hell was Proctor? Was he injured?
Bad day again. Big crowd let down - again.
Mathematically still possible to stay up but I just can’t see it. Some of the players are just not good enough.
BTW Ashurst is NOT captain material.

We haven't just handed Cas 2 valuable points, we also handed momentum and confidence over to them, which
I feel will be even more costly. We can still stay up, but it will be extremely difficult now.

We've handed them four points. We have truly been the architects our our down fall.

I thought that too. Cas looked shell shocked straight after our two quick tries. Missing both conversions didn't help but the soft kick that Lineham dropped gave them just the lift they needed.

Re Lino, why hasn't he been goal kicking recently?
Last season he was kicking them from all over.

Some changes needed for next week for sure. There were some performances that weren’t up to scratch last night.

Salford game we simply must turn up and claim 2 points.

As I said before the game they were always going to attack us on the edges. Danny Ward had the same style at London to ship it to the edges at every opportunity. That’s exactly what they did.

Think a few changes now need to happen: time to go big or go home. It’s no longer just 2 points etc. I get Mash keeping them calm but now the urgency needs to be pressed onto the players.

Go big or go home from the start.

I’d bring back in Franco and Croft on the edges.

Dagger at 6 with Gale.

Whitbread to 13 and Griffin to right SR. Tanginoa to left SR if he’s fit.

I’d have Bowes and Eseh back in too. Maybe give Salabio a shot.

Less alcohol in me now and had time to reflect on the game.

Seeing comments about Kendall having a bad game, I don't think it was the worst performance I've seen from him. The disallowed tries were extremely annoying but by the book, he was correct. I was frustrated with him not doing anything about late hits on the halves and then had the cheek to turn around and give one of our lads a talking to in the second half when there was a shove on Miller.

The fat pig on the wing fluffed it massively when he dropped that ball, we'd had a really good defensive set which saw Austin kick from their 30m line. He had all the time in the world to either let it bounce or get under it, really changed the momentum for me.

Josh Griffin lived up to the hype, quality from him going forward. He might just be the difference, if we are to roll up our sleeves and get out of this hole.

Lino is getting a lot of stick, he wasn't great but you could see the effort was there. He took the line on, which is what we're told is his strong point but Gale the lack of structure and organisation from Gale left them both looking bang average. Dagger back in at stand off for me.

Fifita, Atoni, Whitbread and Kay were great. How differently would the game have gone if Lino would've taken in the Whitbread offload, all in hindsight.

Not sure where these wins are going to come from. Salford and KR are scrapping for that 6th place finish and Saints, Catalans and Leigh want that top spot. Got to hope there are some slip ups for one of them and that it doesn't go down to the last game of the season.

Feel we were cheated out of one try - the one scored by Senior I’ve seen given many times!
That said no excuse, we should still have won but some players weren’t up to it. Cas played better rugby and hard as it is to say it deserved the win.

Very similar to the "you didn't ecxpect us to beat Saints did you", quote by a certain person.

The sooner these two go, that are slowly killing the club go, the better.

Someone else may just have that bit more ambition about the club.

I don't understand your logic. Would you have preferred them not to sign anyone for next season?
