i would think the sponsor (coach company) didn't want to get stung anymore for a non-profit/costly trip.

| Apologies if it has already been mentioned elsewhere but JE mentioned the other night that they are currently sorting out a deal for the London game £29 including ticket.
What a deal that is. The club really do need credit for these initiatives IMO. Its a bit of work to sort out and no doubt some hassle and i doubt very much they make on it at these costs.

it's a cracking deal, especially to support somebody else's business (london broncos).

When tickets for away games are bought from WTW, the club gets 10% of the proceeds; moreover, if we're to persuade the RL community that we're back and a valuable addition to SL, taking a good away following will go a long way to convincing them.
How can this travel club be a bad thing?!

it's not!
i wish every other club did it too.
let's say we get 10% or £2 per ticket, 500 people gives £1000. not to be sniffed at, but perhaps swallowed in a bus subsidy. widnes are the real winners, they get 90% and a chance to flog drinks/food etc.
i applaud it, i think it's a good long term game being played by the club. get the home fans in to diehard home and away fans, going then becomes a habit that's hard to break.

| When i bought my ticket i was told this in the ridings shop...the club are making no money at all so the seven quid is what the coach company charge per seat....so for them the more coaches the better as far as im aware no subsidies.
i hope to god there are loos or the club may not sell as many pints as they thought..has anyone rung up to check ?

| Quote: "Tickets for Friday night’s game remain on sale from the Ridings Centre Store until midday on Friday.
Adult match tickets are priced at £20, concession tickets are £13 and junior tickets are just £11. Junior Gold Members are not required to swap their tickets prior to the game and can simply present their booklet on the gate at Widnes.
Turnstile prices on the day will increase by £2, so the Wildcats are urging all fans to call in to the retail outlets at the Ridings Shopping Centre to purchase their tickets in advance.
With over 400 people booked on the Away Travel Club, fans travelling on the coaches are advised that parking at the Rapid Solicitors Stadium will be in high demand so supporters are advised to arrive as early as possible with parking in the first instance to be in car park C, outside the old club shop.
CATS Bar will be open from 3pm ahead of coaches departing the Rapid Solicitors Stadium at 5.15pm.
Supporters who have booked to be picked up from the bus station are advised they will be collected at 5.30pm from the back of the bus station.
All supporters booked to be picked up from the bus station will be on coaches 6, 7 and 8.'"
