I thought BJB was fine. More games he and Lyne get together the better.
TJ I thought was just trying too hard. He needed to just run with the ball and do what he does best. As you say that will come back with confidence.

He did what he does best, scored 2 tries. One poor defensive read for their third try, other than that, he did fine for me, won a couple of penalties and generally played well. I just wish we'd use him less as a battering ram up the middle. We need more kicks to his corner where he can outjump most wingers and centres and more from Max out wide getting the ball to him with quick plays and cut out passes and we'll score more points.

Very strange that you think a farmer from Penistone should not be able to outplay another prop from the same team, what's alarming is you comparing it to a good result, most disappointing.

Yes Johnstone was out of position, but again he was faced with a two on one situation so he was stood in the middle of the two attacking players. The young lad who swatted him off is a bit of a unit too.

Who mentioned Max Jowitt? Given a straight choice between Jowitt and Hampshire for full back I would pick Max everytime. My point was that this is the only position that Hampshire can play effectively but if Max is playing there isnt a place for Ryan. He offers little or no threat at half back, his kicking game is weak. He works best finishing chances that others have created. Jacob Miller needs an effective partner but with the players available that is also probably Max Jowitt unless someone like Brad Walker can come to the fore?

Couple of things from last night.

That wasn’t our best performance of the season but we won. Hudds made a few crucial errors and a few passes that haven’t been sticking did. Luck plays a huge part and with it comes belief. Early days yet but if I could pin point anything it was a certain composure.

It’s very easy to pick fault with players I notice some doing it on here. But mistakes only become problems if you don’t handle them well and I think they all did.

So with all that in mind it’s still hard to spot the alleged trouble makers. Throughout the revised season I can’t spot a player who’s been consistently bad. I have my suspicions but they are nothing to do with on field performances. Very odd, even the scapegoat group on here don’t seem to have their customary victim.

Lastly who was the prop who only drove the ball on six times last week that the Sky commentator mentioned? Yes we were crap RL wise against Saints but nobody stood out as being that poor to me, any ideas?

Think Croft is worth a mention from last night. He does the tough stuff well, makes plenty of metres after contact with good leg drive. He handled Cudjoe well enough in defence aswell. For me he plays for the rest of the year and develops a decent relationship with TJ

The Sky pundits said Fifita looks different from last week when he carried the ball in 6 times .There again last night he was playing with last year's squad .
