Quote: apg100 "Okay, you've worked me out!!

I haven't been hiding, I just didn't announce myself. I have found this site very good for my research, it's great to see so many people with the club at heart.

Before all the questions start flying in, I am VERY limited on what I can and will say on here. I can assure you that when I do post, it will be the truth and I will not just say things to please you.

I Would also like to state that my intentions are completely honourable. I have no intentions of 'fleecing' the club, I am not looking to make a quick buck!! Should I win the bid, I will be honouring ALL the season tickets, as someone said 'I'd be mad not too'.

I DO have the financial clout to give the club stability, which will be my first job. I am very good at running business and am relishing the opportunity to get stuck into this one!

I won't be answering any questions about the offer I am making, so please don't ask. All I will say is that we are ready to do the deal now, and are trying to get it sorted as soon as possible. There is every chance this will be as late as the 11th, the day before the first game!! I truly hope it can be before that, but am not holding my breath.

You have talked a lot on here about the other bids and people that are interested, I have no knowledge about them, so couldn't comment. I do however believe I have what the club needs to move forward to a MUCH brighter future. We will be making every effort to keep our SuperLeague status as that is where the club belongs, but as you all know, there are no guarantees with this. We do have alternative options, but we are in no way planning to move down a league!

Should my bid be successful, the only way this will work, is for the fans to get back behind the club. I am prepared to put the work in, but you will all have to commit and come and watch us.

This is Wakefield, Together we are Stronger.'"

do yourself a favour keep your money in foreign high interest accounts that will guarantee a return, if you end up with the burden of bank rolling WTW for the next god knows how many seasons you will rue the day you made this mad decision. you have the financial future of your family to consider!!!

there never has been the interest within Wakefield to support any optimism for real growth. the club will always retain it's core 3500 supporters but that is it maybe +/- 15% but i would not be looking at this as a solid foundation to base a creative business plan on, unless you know 5,000 people who are willing to turn up and pay each home game as they are your mates?

unless you have 5-10mil of surplus money which you have written off and are willing to lose on the basis you are a passionate fan then i think you need your head testing.if nothing else, the RFL want the likes of WTW, Cas, etc replaced by designer teams based in the south of France, Ireland, Scotland etc etc your efforts in the end will be wasted, no matter how good the intentions are. I trust you have a shrude financial advisor, i'd be interested to know what his thoughts are with regards to the potential take over of WTW and their likely revenue streams.

I have had a few private messages from the Supporters Trust, offering there support to me and my bid. I really do appreciate it and should I win, I will be looking to involve them in some way or another they are a great asset!

I am not going to post anything else on here now, until I have some more news.

This is Wakefield. Together we are Stronger!'"

Im not sure this can be the case, As the supporter trust is not formed yet, has no recognised committee and as such no one has a mandate to back any bid.

I'm pretty sure the supporters trust steering group would not break ranks and decide which bid they were backing, without understanding all bids, bidders and their intentions. Gone is the era of one or two fans wanting to rush to the top table alienating other fans, instead I'm sure the trust will be electing a independent committee that works with the Club in a transparent way.

In fact if these were indeed members of the supporters trust they would have made a statement of support on their site and posted anything they had to say in support on the forum and not in private messages but for the reasons stated above this will not be happing yet, or until they are ratified and speaking with a the consent of the whole group.

Your are right, they are indeed valuable, as are you to them.

No bid is being backed over the other; Andrew Glover is the only one to publically state his interest. Some members of the working party have contacted him, as they would with anyone else who shows an interest and publically states it. Stop mischief making.

[u:sv1z2rvr][b:sv1z2rvr]Mission Statement[/b:sv1z2rvr] [/u:sv1z2rvr] [i:sv1z2rvr]To provide a democratic united voice for the supporters of Wakefield Trinity Wildcats and the Community it serves.[/i:sv1z2rvr]:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_54041.jpg

For clarity:

2 members of the working party involved in establishing the Trust have indeed made approaches towards Mr Glover now that he has gone public in his effort to secure the club.

Offers of support and assistance have been made as well as opening the line of communication in order to represent the supporters views in any re-formed organisation - as would be the case with any of the bidders once confirmed.

This does not represent any form of favouritism and is not intended to be taken as an endorsement of Mr Glover's bid over anyone elses. We would however be remiss if we were not to engage in dialogue with someone who may well be the new owner of the club within the next 10 days.

We wish Mr Glover all the best with his bid whilst also welcoming dialogue with any of the other interest parties.

I'm sure your really looking out for the guy, your comment just stinks of exactly what it is, a Cas fan trying to cause trouble. So what your saying is, even if we get the stadium sorted out and we get some better players in the club and the club starts to have a exciting future, it won't matter because no fans will come, have word with yourself.
