| I'll open it again MUTT, i'll keep an eye on it.
I don't think anyone wants to lose the young fans and i certainly don't, i can see both side of this from some of the more mature posters and from the side of the young lads.
You guys went up to Barrow and down to Cardiff and support the team at most games and deserve credit for this BUT just tone it down a bit and think of others around you and the clubs good name. We have FANTASTIC away support that is welcomed by all clubs and i for one enjoy away games for this reason.
If you will take some advice from someone who's been were you are, cut out the foul language and tone it down a bit, enjoy the games and being part of the Wildcats.
A bunch of young men who are let down by one or two who go too far. I know most of them are just there for a laugh and good time and its only the odd one that spoils it.
Shame the thread is ending on this note after fridays game and the fact that HULL fans have given credit to us for our support.

| Quote Top Notch Trinity="Top Notch Trinity"In my opinion, yeah, maybe some of the stuff sung was a bit unnecessary and that it was probably not needed, but the majority of songs started from up at the back where the group was sat.
On the number of occassions I looked round, they were always singing and clapping, and nine times out of 10 it was directed at the pitch.
It shows a great deal of passion in my opinion, something which I think should they should be credited for, rather than done for.'"
Thats the issue mate, if we can agree to cut that out and just calm down a bit there is no problem.
The passion and support is clear to see and i for one applaud it.
You seem like you understand the situation and can help us all resolve it and move on.

| Having just read all this from start to finish, can i just say that some of the posters who have made comment on these lads need to think back a few years
I think it been blown way out of proportion, one or two have let themselves down and got chucked out of the KC and i am sure they regret it, they've had a drink at 16 years old (thats never happened before has it) and behaved like fools (not all of the young lads who go with that group by the way)
Yes we can do without this behaviour but lets give them a chance to learn from it before we string them up

| Al , i understand your sentiments entirely , i suppose what im trying to get across is they should be more responsible for their actions and not come on the board bleating about the fact they got thrown out. they need to understand that only they can accept ownership for the actions .
yes i drunk under age , yes i travelled up n down the country (As i know you did) yes i laughed and tormented the opposing fans and whistled the theme to Laural n hardy at the police and sung YTS at the stewards . but if i had been thrown out of a ground for being an ar@e i would not write into lets say LE to moan about it as it would be deemed fair cop. I certainly would not of told my old man or mam as i would of got another good hiding .
i do not condone power crazed stewards and their antics but when we were growing up if you swung at a bouncer in roof tops you were gonna get your ar@e kicked , even the great Nigel Wright can clarify that.
like you said its great that these kids come up n down the country and follow us but im sure we will both agree that in all probability on Friday they got more protection than they release and their actions could off resulted in a very good kick in for them. I don't think they understand just how bad it looked on Friday but the first thing i said to you n acko was their gonna end up getting a good hiding as it was so evident they deserved it.

Yes mate i understand you loud and clear and thats 100% correct, just feel they need a little guideance, they are not bad lads IMO, just a little silly/giddy but most of us have been there (not the ones who are whiter than white of course) but then again no ones perfect are they.
The question is will they learn from fridays episode and come on board or will they get worse (and again i know it nots all the young lads) and carry on.
I want to give them a chance and not condem them at this stage.

The easiest way to resolve this is for those who were involved to just channel their passion in a different direction. Singing, "sing your hearts out for the lads" shows how much they want to support the players out on the field, and it shows that they were trying to get the rest of us involved in the singing for them.

Its just a pity that they started getting behind the team after the stewards had to step in and after the worst were ejected.
As has been said when they get behind the team they make a cracking atmosphere and bring a lot to the club, its just the other side that spoils it.

| 2 Possible answers to this problem:
1) WiSCA employ someone to be a 'bouncer' on the buses. This 'bouncer' or steward would need to be of decent calibre - one who can gain some common sense in these matters - which seems to go out of the window when the 'yellow coats' come out. (It seems that they could have handled this a whole lot better). This would put the cost of the coach up!
2) At the expense of our own time and enjoyment, some of us 'senior' supporters take the time to explain to these lads the reason to calm down and the consequences of not doing so (i.e. you may be ejected - and barred from Belle Vue if you don't!)
Don't appreciate the problems these lads bring, but they're not the first and won't be the last - so we have to deal with it.
BUT, the way the 'yellow coats' deal with it is NOT the answer - it too is 'antagonistic'!

| I normally have a word with the lads regarding the relentless Swearing in the songs & most of the time they listen & calm it down, But i don't know how many more times i can keep carrying on telling them untill the penny is going to drop.
The young lads help bring a very good atmosphere to the away games & i would not want that to stop,So from now on i will undertake to talking to the lads before our matches & make them relies the harm they could be doing to our reputation

Absolutely - and the atmosphere was brilliant as a result of them. That's why it is sad when all it needs is some calmness and common sense - it's bets for everyone.
Cheers acko - you're a star!
