| If this is true then I am not happy because I don't think we should accept going down even if it for just one season. Also what happens if after 1 season Cas do get ahead of us in the stadium race then we will be stuffed.

| I've got a bad feeling about this too. Once we accept being "relegated" then we are doomed. If the RFL are trying to come up with crazy plans like this to try and appease everyone then they don't feel comfortable in just not giving us a franchise. Keep fighting I say...I thought we had the stadium issues covered anyway in either playing at Oakwell or sprucing up Belle Vue.

Well said sir
Problem is that RFL asked us not to consider Barnsley. I often wondered what their real intentions were when they did this.
Unfortunately I feel our fate ,whatever the circumstances are, has been decided months ago.

| Sorry, can't see this having any mileage. Firstly how is the money going from the TV deal going to be distributed between all superleague clubs if the RFL doesn't know how many clubs are going to be in the division from one year to the next? Clubs aren't just going to take a cut in income halfway through a franchising period. And anyway, the clubs would have to vote for it wouldn't they? That ain't going to happen.
Also we ain't gonna know anything about NM until april at the earliest. Even if we get a thumbs up from the government then we have to go back and apply for full planning permission, another three months there potentially. Then get the funding unlocked. So we ain't going to be on site til late summer next year/early autunm at best. Leaving it a bit tight for a review. And even if we make a start on time its a years job to build it so we'd need somewhere to play that is SL compatable for 2013. A year in the championship with no guarentees means AG won't be spending half a million upgrading BV and the RFL don't want us at oakwell by all accounts. So we wouldn't actually hit the criteria for that year. Sorry, would love it to be true but I think there is an awful lot of wishful thinking going on here.

| Thanks jack in the box but I'm a lady not a sir (ha ha ) I also agree with BigAl, the time is drawing near and they are trying desperately to come up with a solution for this crazy situation. It's a non-starter for me, lets keep shouting about the positives of our club from the rooftops as well as keep pointing out the negatives about our rivals. We can't buckle now...are they putting out ideas like this just to see what reaction they will get?

| This is a cover story and has nothing to do with new stadiums. Superleague will be 14 teams for the next three years at least, probably longer. The only way Wakefield would be back up in a years time is if another club, i.e Crusaders went bust and this won't happen if the Wrexham supporters trust takeover over the football club goes through smoothly and quickly.

No we EDIT wouldn't
If this imaginary scenario was to take place , you might as well turn the lights out on the Championships as you left

| Apologies for the swearing , that just shows the depth of feeling about this , but as I put , if this imaginary scenario was to take place , I along with many others would be seriously considering if we would be ever interested in this so called ' sport ' ever again
It would be the final nail in the coffin of the sport between SL and amatuer

| So will Halifax, who have met the criteria for SL, be allowed 12 months to sort out their Academy, scholarships and community initiatives? The CC clubs have 3 years in which to qualify on field, either by winning the NR cup or reaching the GF. Should they be disadvantaged by an unlevel playing field in the first year and possibly the second if Cas were to come down? Honestly, would you be happy with that if you were Championship fans?
Anybody want to answer the above? It really gets to me when I read so many of you criticising the system for the unfair treatment the Wildcats have been subjected to but when another unfair scenario which benefits the Wildcats comes along you're all for it. I've a lot of sympathy for your plight (straight forward promotion and relegation providing criteria is met would be my choice) but this proposal, if indeed it exists, would kill the Championship for good. Would you be happy to see that?

You are 100% correct but the RFL don't seem to care.

| Can't see this being true as it is very unfair on the championship clubs,as we will be seen to be getting preferencial treatment.
If we go down we are allowed to spend more on the salary cap in the first season anyway and if there is chance of promotion due to the ground we would be in a Widnes type situation(why bother cos we are going up?)
If it is true then it should be us, Cas and Fax in the mix but also why bother? If is is due to the ground situation nobody should get the boot cos the RFL are saying that us and Cas are on par but for whatever reason we have to go,why can't Cas go after all they seem very confident they are going to get PP on WR so coming back up would be a formality.I would hazard a guess that in every other box it is very close(enter the Cas fans going on about admin).
Also Cas would have to agree to this and I can't see that happening as they would only be able to plan for a year like we have this and look how that is turning out and as Cas are a BIG club it would be disastrous.

| It appears the Crusaders are confident of staying up with the signings they are making.
Keith Senior signed today on a 2 year deal, stating he has joined "as he can still do 2 years at the top and would not consider dropping down a division!"
The final franchise decision will be made later in the month though you understand!! B**locks!

| Its funny because I can never see Belle Vue been developed with this latest rumour it still won't be. If we allow the RFL to relegate us I do not believe they will let us back in whatever the terms and conditions of this 'deal'...this sounds like a nice little back door pay off...
