He must have grown during lockdown.

He’s down as 6 foot 1 on Wiki but how accurate that is I don’t know but I’d say he looks about that. I’d say he’d be lucky to tip 15 stone though, doesn’t look 16 stone from what I could see. Not that I think it matters much at only 20.

I’d be surprised if he was much over 5’10”/11”.
He is a regular at training and matches supporting his brother, and he is a cracking lad I have to say too.
Very supportive family of all 3 boys and very grounded.
His dad isn’t very tall, I’d say shorter than me and I’m only 5’8”. I wouldn’t describe his mum as tall either.

Tbh 6 foot isn’t tall these days, I’ll take your word over Wiki.

| Just a thought. I’ve just read an article that mentions loan periods are being cut due to Covid. I can’t seem to find the article but it says 2 weeks. Not sure if it’s recall or minimum term.
It just got me thinking that potentially we could have a look at the loan opportunities for prop forwards.
For example, Warrington seem fairly well stacked in the prop department. I believe they signed Butler as a project recently. I wonder if there’s any scope for a season loan or loan period.
The club probably have explored this option but just got me thinking while I was reading the article.

| Just had another look at Adam Tangata.
He never played in the NRL he played for Canberra Raiders U20's as a trialist and for Mount Pritchard Mounties in the NSW Cup but grew up playing in the Cook Islands. Does that mean he isn't fully Fed trained? I don't know but maybe there is a loophole there, just a thought.

Pretty certain he was one we looked at and Wire signed he hasn't done anything with Wire so we may have dodged a bullet there who knows.

I tend not to view players that way. Failure to do well at one club means nothing, he could be a star for us or anyone else, sometimes moves don't work out.
I have no idea if he's any good or if we want him but a lack of game time at Warrington wouldn't bother me tbh.
My heads still spinning as to how.

| I’ll go back to my post if a few weeks ago
Jon Luke Kirby at Huddersfield
Ben Kilner at Wigan
Both Wakefield lads
Both 6’5” 112kg
Both 22 years old
Both would bring size, athleticism & enthusiasm
Both have come through outstanding Academy’s
Both would probably be season loans
Neither would cost a lot
Neither would be on any quota

As others have said maybe the club has looked at them but it's a no. Some players won't come to Wakefield and some clubs don't like loaning to us.
I agree they look promising and maybe it's me being petty but had they signed for their local club in the first place then perhaps they would be regular first-team already. As I say, maybe a bit petty on my part but if we weren't good enough for them the first time why should we give them a leg up now, not like they will stop with us. Fully accept I may be totally wrong.

| I’m expecting unless Wigan sign at least 1 more Prop that Kilner will be a big part of their plans.
With both Burgess and Clubb still at the club and their injury issues I don’t think they would dare let him leave as they are already pretty light on Props of you factor in those 2 lads and their lack of availability.
I didn’t know Kilner was a Wakefield lad. Interesting to see he is a Normy lad but played his junior rugby as Oulton which is a bit odd, maybe wanted to get on Leeds’ radar.
Either way from what I have seen of him he has a massive future in the game, and whilst he may be available on the odd 2 week loan here and there through the season I’m not sure that does us any good.
If we don’t manage to secure a permanent signing I’d prefer us to hold out nerve and wait for someone to have a fallout midseason or keep a close eye on the lower leagues for a lad performing well and in their more senior years.
If we can’t get the man himself a Battye type signing mid season could be a very shrewd bit of business.

Did you feel that way about Hampshire? TBH I think a part of me did, although I fully understood the reasons why you would pick the likes of Wigan over Wakefield.
