We treated the game as a joke, and the result showed, beaten up or not.

Still we would've probably lost anyway given the disparity of coaching/quailty between the two teams and our general offerings against them. Still 5th is in our hands if we take the Wire game a little more seriously.

I know bill was playing out of position tonight but our wingers were yet again drifted too far in field gifting cas most of their points ,something we don’t seem to learn from .

Something needs to happen with the RFL, happy to admit Cas were the better outfit however with a system in place where a referee has the option to double check calls and a screen big enough to show a replay; they cannot be getting things wrong.

Hampshire never touched the ball prior to BJB’s full length, Watts threw a blatant forward ball in front of the ref and I think it was Arundel who broke but it got called back for a knock on where the ball went backwards.

3 things which resulted in 2 tries being chalked off and conceding from the other, I’m not saying we would’ve won the game but we’d of been a damn sight closer.

Improvement needed in defence and I think we need to spend more of the salary cap; starting with a fullback.

Must agree with khlav. Utterly bizarre and bewildering tactics from Wakefield. You had a few out but still had a capable 17 but that wasn't the attitude. Attitude was well we haven't got a chance here of beating these so let's try some odd razmatazz to try keep us in the game.

I've genuinely enjoyed watching Wakefield this year, but tonight i thought was a real poor mind set from the coaching staff. I think you're far better than them tactics suggested.

Perhaps I'm being a touch harsh.

I do like Chester, Carter and I've generally cheered Wakefield on in televised games this year.

Good luck against Warrington and sewing up 5th.

considering that was the most suicidal starts to a game I've seen think we was lucky to go in with that score, I do hope we don't try anything like this again at least get into them game before playing fancy rugby

It's easy to complain after the fact but if Grix kick had been slightly longer JJB would have got to the ball first and it would have been all over social media.
They tried something and it didn't come off. Get a grip.
They put a lot of effort in to that game.

Huby put in a really big performance.
Pauli pretty much took 5 players on in every drive and still looked great.
Jowitt made a couple of big 1 on 1 tackle

You'll always find. The negative if you look.
We didn't give up like Hull have been doing.

It was a meaningless dead rubber that Cas would always want to win more than us, not the end of the world. The fact of the matter is beating Cas doesn't matter to the club anymore.

It wasn't that bad actually. We turned up expecting far worse I'm sure. Too many injuries to the guys during the game early doors didn't help matters. Some nice moments to cheer.
My only real peeve was stupid Randell giving away the needless lifting penalty on the 5th tackle and getting sin binned.

Although Huby did do some big minutes last night he did appear to miss a few tackles in the first half. I do like Huby, but just not quite seeing the same player we had last year. Maybe still not quite fully fit from his injury last year.

I do agree yo some extent, the earlier poster saying we need to spend a little more to strengthen, but that isnt easy with club budgets, though maybe the improvement arent too drastic.

Half back situation definately needs sorting, and would maybe look at the full back. One position i would also address is prop, OK, we have Fifita, England and Pauli, but i just think those back ups need to be better

I couldn't understand why Hewer didn't go to the screen for the BJB non try. It only takes a few seconds.

That's just rubbish.
We literally played with half a pack of forwards, missing Fifita, England & Hirst.
A late withdrawal of Miller, plus, losing Grix & Batch in the first halt and this against a very good Cas outfit.

What did you think would happen ?

To suggest that the club and players aren't bothered about beating Cas is just laughable or sad, i'm not sure which.

Quote: Prince Buster "There is no coach anywhere who would instruct that. Cas FB was in position and it was as good as a pass. Seen some stupid things but that kick takes some beating.

JK is head of the Grix fan club and I would be on the phone tomorrow to ask him to take him on loan all next season.'"

Thanks but no thanks
