One of which is whether he should step down!
The task of avoiding relegation is going to be hard enough with this group of players, we don’t need to be hamstrung by a coach who’s out of his depth!

| On reflection, it was as many feared, that shuffling things around to accommodate Mason Lino was ineffective to say the least.

| Never say die friends, specially for the supreme escape artists that are Trinity. I have to say you did look very poor last night and that coincided with Giants coming back to something like the team they were last year, But i know you can play much better than that, you don't beat the teams you have without playing some decent football. I really don't want to see you go down just when things are turning round for you off the field. So good luck with the rest of your fixtures, The fat lady isn't singing just yet, you have time.

Hull FC ran away with it in the end. 36-18. It's no change but Cas gain 10 on the points difference.
The run from Chris Satae that put Swift away was a cracker. Memories of Michael Korkidas in 2004 at same venue.

| It’s a straight shoot out between us and Cas… and it might come down to points difference..
Sadly you could combined the squads of the two teams and you still couldn’t field a team to bridge the gap to Hudds/Hull/HullKR/Leeds… whoever survives will need to invest big time to compete!

If he didn't step down when we were 0/15 he certainly isnt going to step down now.
The disruption to the side, with Whitbred not making the starting line and then losing Hood and especially dagger didn't help and we were unfortunate to meet Huddersfield on one of their better days.
Hopefully we have our first choice pack (apart from Tangianoa) available for the Warrington game but, the halfbacks are still the big decision.

That’s just minor adversity the sort of which every team & coach has to deal with every other game. It’s excuses, excuses, excuses
I agree with you to a certain point about him not resigning after 16 straight losses etc but as the matches start to diminish so do our opportunities to drag ourselves out of this mess. If he really has the club at heart, and isn’t just acting through selfish delusional denial, then he must accept that he hasn’t got the gravitas or experience to get us out of our dilemma.
Maybe we survive with him because of Castlefords rapid decline but that doesn’t negate the points made above.

Agree - I had hopes prior to the shudds game and had prepared a loss but not a drubbing !
It’s a big ask - we’ll have to get a lot smarter!

| Need Gale at 7 ASAP. The flashes of brilliance/ off the cuff stuff which Lino now and then glimmers would work better with a dominant half partner who orchestrates the show, give that responsibility to Lino and he just whimpers sadly. He isn’t that type of player. It’s not all his fault for Friday, but he didn’t help either.

Just watched highlights blame coach if you must first half trys caused by a threequarter line that can't tackle a load of soft lads there second half's huddersfield just ran with the ball and we ran with em but didn't tackle if the coach is in experienced then the platers are useless you can stay up with an inexperienced coach but not with useless players

The defence and tackling was a huge difference from last weeks effort vs Wigan where we were dominant and aggressive in line speed and tackling.
Even stranger if what has been posted that new owner took over this week but haven’t been announced (can’t remember if it was a comment on FB or here).
Anyway that performance wasn’t good enough.
The spine looked dysfunctional again and it was like watching the trinity of 5 games ago return with dropping ball, poor metre gains and not strong enough in the tackle.
For me Lino didn’t fit but it was hard to be too critical when the forwards didn’t punch enough.
If Gale is fit though for wire it has to be Gale/Dagger.
As it stands we don’t have time to dwell on a sub par performance and it’s all eyes on Warrington. If we can find the energy and focus we had vs Wigan then we who knows.

| Dagger going off early certainly didn’t help with our half backs gelling , but seriously doubt if it would have made any difference at all playing behind a well beaten pack . Our forwards could do far worse than watch the old stager Chris Hill (35) how to run the ball in with intent and purpose . Really thought we had turned a corner ,but were easily second best in every facet of that game and at times looked amateur with ball in hand and embarrassing with the amount of unforced errors which crept into our game .

That is by far and away the most positive thing you've ever written, I mean, its half d but considering what's gone before...
Wait....who are you, and what have you done with alegend.
