Garbage, I could take a similar photo in NY, Sydney, Barcelona etc, my beef is that was a particularly negative photo suggesting "even people like this, from this city wouldn't vote for Corbyn" a shocking piece.

I was commenting on the image. Still it fits in with the argument that after 80 odds years of Labour rule the city is in decline so it's time for a change.

Didn't the reporter go to Normanton Grammar School along with one of his interviewee's Brian Barley who happened to play for Wakefield RU club and England RU and apparently votes Labour. Looks like the reporter was a local lad himself, so maybe he see's a big difference after maybe moving away from Wakey to further his career in journalism.

I can't vouch for everyone but I went to school with Brian Barley in the same year and really can't remember Paul Routledge, as for Brian, if I remember correctly he was from Crofton/Sharlston, so it shouldn't be too surprising if he voted labour

You won't remember Paul Routledge Jinjer, he's a lot older than you, born in 1943. He is a distinguished [Labour leaning]political journo who had a very long spell with the Times before joining the Daily Mirror and was educated at Normy Grammar School.

I've was a miner for 38yrs and will not vote for them again, oh , and never for the Tory's also.

I was born next to BB on donny rd been brought up in a mining family never knew what my parents voted for but I believe in community and never dreamed of voting blue
