Well said we had plenty of chances to win that game.

That grubber turned the game in my opinion. Another poor kick among many in the second half. Momentum shifted Cas' way and they took full advantage of it.

| It's fish n chip paper now anyway, let's move on, we've more important things to worry about.
Dale made a mistake which young players do, he'll learn from it and won't do it again.
The highly experienced international Mick Vella did the same against us.

| If it had happened at any other point in the game the only thing being discussed about the incident was the fact that Slimeywood gave most of the 50/50 decisions to Cas.

| To NGB4C and Lupset Airport ( are you one and the same?), the lad made a mistake, he has to live with that. He will do what we all do and learn from his mistakes. It is time to support the club and the young team we have, if you can't or won't do that, go to the Cas forum, I'm sure you will find people that agree with you there

| Forgive me if this has already been suggested, but lets assume Dale didn't steal the ball, the game went into the 2nd period of Extra Time and for whatever reason we still ended up losing. Would Dale Morton still be talked down for the rest of his participation in the game?
Everybody move on. I am sure that given his time again Dale would not have made the same decision, and this is just one part of his learning curve. We were all drivers once!

| Theres no shame in losing to a team that, on the day, played better than we did. Lets not forget that this team is was chucked together at the last minute under very trying circumstances - the fact that we are already expecting wins speaks volumes for the character and effort of the players, who will only get better with experience. FWIW, I'm amazed that someone of Dale's physique can defend better than Blanch could even dream of!

its not even a final and he's now taken over Don Fox's missed kick the poor poor lad,
as for the kicking game it was very poor you do need to watch it again, on the day the wind was a bit wild but that shouldn't be used as an excuse
there was good returns by mathers how broke a few tackles and made good yardage
its was just a brain explosion which I can forgive for it

I just cannot see why people are blaming Dale for losing the game, he is after all a young kid in a big local derby cup game with no second chances. If people take a constructive look at the game the two biggest howlers came from experienced players. They were not Wakefields young kids but Danny Orr and Rangi Chase for trying to pick the balls up and not dropping on them for both of your tries. Without these two howlers Morton would not have been in the position to strip the ball as the game would have been over in normal time. This does show that even the best of players have brain farts but it's always easier stood on the touchline. It was a typical cup tie and neither of us deserve to be in the position of fighting for our existence.
