I wonder if any of the residents of Newmarket have considered that this development might actually put the value of houses up in the area?
The stadium and rugby aside, this development will bring jobs to Wakefield, at this time of utter economic depression in the country nothing is more important than the creation of jobs to put money in people’s pockets,
Wakefield is the 11th biggest city in the UK and I feel our council are finally coming to terms with this
The government and the council owe pushing this development though to the people of Wakefield and another 50 more like it! Why should Wakefield just be a commuter city to Leeds!

Why are you trying to justfy this garbage project with this jobs argument. Leeds council have recently pointed out that all these units and hotel etc could be built on numerous sites around the area which are available now and already have planning permission, so there is NO reason to start digging up uspoiled grass land, also the jobs you pretend to be so concerned about, would still be created, but unfortunately no need for any stadium. |
