Funny you should say that, I said the same thing a few weeks ago to someone. That when you have a utility value, even though you might have a preferred position, you can sometimes fall into the jack of all trades master of none syndrome, when you're not used consistently in the same position.

| Was going to start the same thread. Outstanding kicking display but shocking in every other department. Lost the ball twice on the 1st tackle!

| He wasn't brilliant in open play today but he wasn't that bad and has had some good games recently so I would certainly give him a contract.

| If we could run a kicker on like American Football, he'd be first on the list - in these days of conservative percentage plays, he bucks the trend and puts in massive touch-finders; no slouch with conversions either.
In general play he runs hot and cold, but is a clever footballer and has good utility value - worth having around I'd say.

Agree, also once he settles properly into the centres he will improve as he goes along. Hopefully he does sign a contract and doesnt go elsewhere for $$$$$.

Agar will send him to Fev, maybe the coach at Fev will be able to do what Agar can't.
Scratch that Powells at Cas now busy trying to sign Mariano.

| Can't really say Lee Smith had a bad game, he hardly got any ball. Our attacking down the left side was almost non existent yesterday, it was frustrating at times as there were huge gaps in London's left side. When the ball looked to be going out left Tim Smith would throw the inside ball and go back right. Lauititi, Lee Smith and Cockayne were queuing up to score in that first half.

All players make mistakes but his two dropped balls on the first tackle were criminal and under no pressure!

Which bit?
The bit about a better coach getting the best out of him or him being signed by another club, i have no info on him signing for Cas just rumour and i think Powells a better coach than Agar.

| OT for this thread but,
Interesting question though, do we think Marinao spending time with Powell has made a difference or, the kick up the back side being sent out to Fev and playing for new contract will make the difference.Or is it, a little of column A and a little of column B. Personally I'll wait to see how he goes against the better sides before passing too much of an opinion on how well he's done since he's returned

I don't think it has made any difference. I think he has always had that in the locker but the whole team had problems underperforming earlier in the season. Maybe the difference is the squad getting fitter as the season goes on and gelling a bit more? It's no coincidence we haven't had many injuries for the last 2 victories.

Probably the latter - Powell may be a good coach, but I can't imagine that in a couple of weeks, he's turned a player around to any great extent.

I assume that statement falls into the 10% of statements you make that are rubbish as opposed to the 90% that are correct.
