I think we are tipped by someone each and every year to finish bottom or darn close to it. They are always proved wrong, long may it continue. You'd think they'd learn by now!

In my more petulant moments in the early part of the season, I thought we'd finish bottom. I did always say that Millward would either be a disaster or a Godsend, not a maintaining coach.

As for us, the players want to play for Agar. Even when we were losing games, there was never a lack of effort. Just a failure of execution. He seems to be pulling it round, does Mr Agar, and well done. I can hack the league position. I would have preferred to be closer in points to the eight, but the momentum as we end is definitely upwards.
