I've seen him play plenty of times since he was a schoolboy at Endeavour High and playing juniors for the Roosters.

I was taught if you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all.

Whats the verdict on FW then, do you think he'll fit in and what are his strong/weak points.

I think that Bibb is our weakest forward, but he his doing his job.

He has always been a wide running lock/2nd rower.

He is tall and has decent ball skills but hasn't got a real high workrate.



Hard to predict how successful he'll be but if any coach can take his game to new heights it's JK.

May well be true Josh, but we get a decent effort from him and he's put his body on the line for us when we needed it.

Don't know if it is just me but the thing with Bibb is that he looks quite lazy. Other young players from other clubs and Pitts etc. seem to be full of energy. Young forwards do struggle and get knocked back in most tackles but Bibb doesn't seem to run with the energy to get knocked back. Mabe this is all down to his size but in the Cas game he looked a different player, in attack and defence, why can't he play like that more often.

Cast your mind back to last year. Bibey was getting some real stick and was considered the weakest forward. His hit ups looked lazy and he often stopped as he approached the defensive line.



This season he was a different player; taking the ball up at full pelt, deftly offloading to supporting colleagues and slipping quick passes out creating gaps. Bibb, other then a few dropped balls, did OK today and looked a little more lively when running the ball up. He will improve with time and unfortunately that is not something, as supporters, we give to young players. If he’s not James Graham or Sam Burgess then he’s no good.

I totally disagree, for me Bibb had a very good game except two errors in our own twenty. He ran the ball in strong and made some good yards. I'm not quite sure people are expecting from a young prop.



The lad is coming along very nicely and has had to play more than his fair share of games for a young lad. The game was full of errors which is due to tired players but that is the nature of the Easter period.

Looks like we have our scapegoat.

ALL our players give 100% - there have been times in the past when this wasn't so and supporters then had a right to be angry, but not now. Consider how far these youngsters have come in the last year or two. If they can maintain that rate of progress they will be fine. in the mean time we, as supporters, owe them our full support and thanks for stepping up to the mark when duty called, and I for one think they have done us proud!



So, Bibb, Pitts, Murphy, Blake and all our youngsters...

Got everything going for him to make ya think he'd become a decent player....but he's not gonna be good enough.

Thats correct, for years we've asked for hard work and honesty in our players, not for world beaters but for honest grafters who play with pride in our shirt.

Where as you and your kid were GB internationals - when people start spouting nonesense about a young player like that all credibility is lost IMHO.

Can't agree with you there. He has plenty of heart and did alot of carries yesterday to help out a tired side. Our forwards have looked the business since Broadbent came in

I rate Bibb. Think he has been very good for us this season. Those people saying he looks lazy need to remember he is a big lads and guys of his size do not throw themselves about like diminutive half backs. He did look a little pedestrian yesterday I agree.



To those "bigging" up big Frank. From what I saw from his run out in the reserves he is no world beater at this moment in time so don't get too exited.



FWIW on Murphy not defusing a bomb (shock horror while under pressure) are you suggesting he should be dropped for Petterson. Please cast your mind back to the first 18 minutes at the Keepmoat. I like Murphy and think he is doing a fantastic job.



Please remember folks we are not Saints we are Wakefield. Just cast your minds back a few years. We are unrecognisable as a team from the. But please don't start calling for heads when the wheels drop off as we have no god given right to catch every 50 50 ball and win every match.

be surprised if murphy is the one kear inferred to about the mistake, he was isolated and had 2 including menzies bearing down on him and he's a big bugger. if owt i wondered where atkins was to give him some protection. not murphy's fault imo

You could possibly criticise Murphy for not communicating and informing Atkins of the obvious danger out wide. But Murphy was left isloated as you say a couple of times and did the best he could.

By the starting post I only meant are we maybe over using him? Putting him in the deep end too long? I have no problems with his play and think he will make a great player, but not yet.

As previously stated we are Wakefield Trinity, we do a job with what we have got, and FWIW we are doing a bloody good job. Young Lads like Kyle Bibb are relative virgins to the SL competition, it is only this season he has become a consistant player (in terms of apperances) so I think it is fair to say it takes some adjustment. Perhaps some fans need to reserve their judgement until at least half way through the season or perhaps next. Its all well and good having opinions but some people are obviously getting ahead of themselves in the light of our current 'success'.

Let's be fair, forwards don't hit their best form, usually, until later in their career and players like Graham and Burgess are freakish and rare! Bibb's doing a good job and he doesn't often let us down. At his stage in development he's bound to make mistakes at SL level but I don't think he or anyone would have expected to play so many games this season, and with the short turnaround from friday to stand up, pull that shirt on and play again is highly commendable. A couple of sloppy errors don't take away from what is, in my mind, the foundations of a good career in our sport and those mistakes will be cut out with experience and patience. They could have been costly yesterday, but they weren't. We got the two points.



As for Murphy, I think he gets through so much work for a player of his size and experience, and even the very best wingers don't always manage to diffuse the bomb under pressure. The tackles and yards that Murphy makes more than justify his place in the squad at the moment.
