Not quite what happened - but we do seem to have a feather trigger on this forum where theses stories are concerned.
Problem is you can't dismiss them all especially from a poster with no previous - we had to check it out as it's exactly how we got to know about Thornes failing. |

This has always been the way. I will not comment without knowing my facts first. MC was in his office so we took the opportunity to catch up a little. When we had the answer we posted it on here.
There are many meetings and discussions taking place and it is difficult to keep an eye on all of them! Plus, as can be seen, MC is new to all of this and has had very little time to become acquainted with all the history involved.
We do take rumours seriously - until proven otherwise. |

TRB and IA are in a position to raise concerns directly to the club. I don’t seen the problem with them being able to use that position and at least partially allaying fears by speaking to the key players involved in the project. Otherwise this uncertainly could’ve gone on for a number of days/weeks at a time when we need everyone pulling together and supporting the club.

The problem with this though is, it gives the nut jobs the green light to post scurrilous rumours, which will have SWAG members checking out endless B.S.
Unless of course they have some sort of filter system to differentiate between genuine posters & crazy zealots. |

I don´t know about anyone else but I am bored to the back teeth of the subject of a new ground. It will happen when it happens and I am firmly of a belief that it will happen but until a brick is laid it is in the back of my mind.
I am more excited about the new season and ruffling some feathers of the ´bigger´ clubs.
When I win the lottery I will buy Belle Vue and build the old ground up!
It remains to seen which happens first Newmarket or me winnng the lottery!
In the meantime roll on the new season!

There will be a reduction to 12 clubs at the end of 2014. This is as per the RFL's directive.
The make up of the league structure from 2015, including P&R at the end of that season, is yet to be agreed.
2 clubs will be relegated - assuming all 14 finish the season! |

THis my take on things too. No real interest in how the proposed new ground is progressing until season tickets become available. Should be a filter to remove any topic subjects containing either Newmarket or New ground.
Lets have a filter for "It's Monday and I haven't seen the lottery numbers published yet" as well. |
