It all gets passed round via WhatsApp these days, nothing really gets uploaded anymore

| Quote: MOPSEY LIVES ON "vasty IMO some of these players are challenging the club, the coach the CEO and are showing no respect for the people round them whatever ones views on Covid. If the players do it once tell them it’s not on and a second time will lead to disciplinary proceedings but for goodness sake not the same players two, three and four times'"
Correct.
Once is bad enough, but when they continue to flaunt the rules of their bosses then that’s when more severe action needs to be taken.
Getting rid of Gigot is a good start but also a fairly convenient and easy decision to make.
It’s what happens next that will tell us if the club are genuinely looking to change the culture at the club.

It was on their Instagram story and only last 24 hours. Someone would have to video the story and save it. It’s probably all been deleted now anyway. It definitely happened though and I saw the video myself. The four players I saw have all been mentioned!

That’s the frustrating thing. It keeps happening. The GPS thing was the start of it all. Due to the idiocy of this people will now question what protocols were in place during the season. Who knows what the RFL will think too.
It’s the bigger picture of it all. I’m with you the next actions will tell me if we are serious about changing the culture at the club!

Blimey, what on earth are you doing reading that rag? I’m from Hull and don’t know anyone who takes it seriously.

| For me this really is not about what the players have done. The club cannot live their lives for the. If they want to flout the laws then so be it. BUT and this is the BIG BUT. We all live by our own actions and like it or not if you are a sports personality then you are watched by far more people than that of a private individual and it is for our club to now decided what kind of club we want to be and look to being. Someone losing their job because of stupid indiscretions is obviously bad for them as people but that is purely their own fault nobody else’s. The club now has to show that it will not tolerate this anymore and if dressing room dissent was a factor of last years debacle on the field then this now offers the club a valid and right way to change the ethos at the club. A team of lesser player who all want to work hard for each other and play the best they can is far better than a team with so called big fish in that just can’t get stuck into the job at hand. Our best teams have always been the ones that on paper shouldn’t be anywhere near super league not one with quality player that end up here because they are shirkers.
Right or wrong, for me they all have to be sacked for gross misconduct. Tell that to the family’s of people who’s family members who have died from this awful virus. My best friends dad died 2 weeks ago from it go tell him that it’s ok to flout the rules. You may or may not agree with the rules and they may seem stupid at times but not following the simple rule of not getting together outside of work is basic and the players that broke this deserve to loose there jobs.
I truly believe as a club we will be stronger if we take a firm stance on this now. No more the tail wagging the dog. A good time and chance for the club to take back control of its own business.
Rant Over. That’s my take on it personally and everyone one is allowed theirs too.

| Quote: Scarlet Pimpernell "I have not seen the video but I presume that the party was in a player’s house. I agree what they did was wrong but how many on here can say that they have not broken one of the many laws brought in since March. The players and their spouses are in fact lesser of a risk to the general public than most because they will be regularly tested and spend a lot of time in each other’s company both indoors and out. When they are in the presence of the general public I have no information that they do so in breach of the COVID-19 conditions of wearing a mask etc.
The biggest risk to them and those on here with children is the infections in schools.
I regret that I expect this type of noncompliance will grow among the general public because people are getting frustrated at what appears to be a worsening situation with no actual end in sight. I know we have the vaccine but even this is being questioned because of the suggested extension to the application of the second dose to three months. I even heard today that they were even thinking of mixing vaccines between the two doses.
We are not in a position to go around terminating contracts, which in this case would not be justified even for those with a personal grudge against specific players.
What they did was wrong but they will not be the last.'"
Agree with most of your post and you're right re the testing and mixing.
However, you are wrong about the mixing of vaccines. That will not happen.

Thing is, they aren't the first sports people or "celebs" to do it....
....and they won't be the last.....
