Top six 2005 - Trinity.: |

| Quote: bren2k "He might stick Sam Obst in the glove box?'"
Was thinking that, sam can still offer alot and would be a decent standoff again.
But we still need that quality half and as much as sam is 100% and has a bit about him, he's no major playmaker.
We'll just have to wait and see, it's the new HC job and he has a he'll of a job. If he can get 2 quality signings in and 2/3 players of SL quality then we will look a whole different animal.

Ewan Dowes .. prop
Add a quality HB from Nrl.
Leaving a wing spot to fill and full back (Tongia?)
If the above happens and trout signs we look in a much better position than last year.'"
Keep Morrison and Howarth if we are thinking of washbrook

| Sam is not a half back and frankly i've had enough of players playing out of posistion.
If we get rid of Tommy Lee from club i'd welcome Obst / Ellis as interchange hookers with open arms, with Davey as back up.

| Rumour on the cas forum that we are about to sign Martin Aspinwall. Most Cas fans wanted to re-sign him as, apart from a short timeout at her majestys pleasue, he's been good for them. Replacement for Hendo?

| I'd take aspinwall, very good player. As for sam, I've said it time and time again, he's a decent player who never gives less than 100% but for me in the position he plays he's not good enough for a quota spot. That said, I've a sneaky feeling he's off quota next season but I hope we don't become over reliant on imports like we used to do so much and Hull KR did under Morgan.

Could he go via France????
They're not as choosy. Who was it that couldn't get into the UK so he went to Catalan????
A former chairman of a club over the hill could fill in the paperwork

Unless Westgate extends all the way to Sydney it shouldn't be a problem.
He is very unlikely to get a visa, he failed to get one in 2009 when Huddersfield wanted him. I can't see the situation has changed much since.

Can't see that making a blind bit of difference, he will still need permission/visa to enter the UK.

He was poor when Wigan ditched him. Since then he's spiralled down through Shudds and Cas so I suppose it's a natural progression to milk us next at the bottom of the food chain. Will fit in well if we sign Fozzard and Phelps.
What a depressing week this is ending up.

| Should we be interested in Halifax pair Worrincey and Sam Barlow?
Both big strong physical lads, I'd imagine they could cope with the diggers of SL, and with George and the likes of Amor, Gledhill and Korki gone or going and Halifax seemingly out of SL contention for the next three years.
SL should take a look at Clint Sharrad too, refed really well tonight, another good performance.

I think Barlow is off to Salford. As for Worrincey, he is better than his brother, but that is hardly a ringing endorsement.
