| well i dont think anyone (apart from the wccg) would argue you dont deserve a drink after all the hard work on the stadium front!
I dread to think what state you (and me tbf) will get in if/when planning permission comes through. Although Father Jack does spring to mind!

utter crap what I heard and I ain't putting on here,
there's so much that has happen to our club in the last two seasons anything could be said and believed,
this club thrives on being the underdog and bites the arris of our clubs on a regular basis, its time we dug of heals in again because I'm a sick as most on here, just when we get a good start to the season it all starts to look pear shaped,
we need this stadium now

may not need to replace that light bulb after all !! somebody please lock the gates to stop the "travellers" setting up stall!

| Bad Luck. Pretty unfair to Wakfield. Half way through last season Tronc could not get a decent contract in Aussie. Wakey sign him and then he has a great back half of the season at the Cowboys. He comes to Wakefield and has a great start to the season for Wakefield and Brisbane want him.
I don't think Wakefield have any chance of holding him because you can't play origan from England. Like I said, bad luck Wakefield and good luck Tronc. I still think he should honour his contract. I bet Simms is part of the deal and compared to Tronc he is going to be really disappointing. He always seems to screw up when it matters most.

| If screwing up his only problem, we can live with that.

| If the reason for wanting out is really his wifes homesickness, we should let him go, but on the condition that he can't play for anyone else this year - then we'd soon see if it's homesickness or the prospect of a top NRL contract that makes him want to leave. I'm tired of Aussie players thinking they can waltz out of contracts at the drop of a hat, leaving a team which has put considerable time and expense into bringing them over here in the . Whilst I understand it's impossible to make someone play for you if they don't want to ([ia la [/iBrough) we must make sure if we release him we are adequately compensated, either with players or cash. A Wigan poster has suggested that we make him buy himself out of his contract with us, and I would have no problem with that.

for us to be compensated we will need to let him play elsewhere.... i actually think the lure of playing for Brisbane is just too much for him lets hope if he does go he don't end up being a little fish in a big pond.
he aint the only homesick player in our squad you know

| Of course, you're right Mutley. It just hurts to acknowledge (yet again) that we are, in fact, the little fish in the SL pond and as such find it hard enough to attract good players - which makes it all the more galling when they want out after only a handful of games. God, we really need this stadium...

| Indeed. We are little fish. That's just the way it is.
We are still 5 wins out of 8 and going well. Not time to panic yet.
