Quote: smeats93 "how is it damaging to the club?
From what i know fighting and remarks are around castleford every week, yet we here nothing of this.
Why is it so different at wakefield?'"

Because you are representing my club and my city when you travel away. Just because it may happen at Cas or anywhere else is irrelevant and doesn't mean it is OK for those 'supporting' Wakefield to do the same!

Quote: t-r-i-n-i-t-y "I'll tell you why the 'We all hate XYZ' chants should be left to rest - we, in the last six months, have lost two members of our playing squad, and in the last year had a number of players who are part of the foundations of this club. Let's have a bit of respect for the players who take to the field for all teams and support our own lads rather than denigrate others.

I don't like Bradford, there are other teams I'm not particularly fond of, but I love my club and I support my club. They aren't perfect, they do things which annoy me, but jeez, I am a Wakefield Trinity Wildcats supporter, and rather than use phrases like 'never has beens' like I have in the past, I' going to be as positive as I can be about those men that take to the field with my hopes and dreams on their backs.

You go back and look at the posts on the threads about Walker and Watene and see supporters from all clubs on there offering support and condolence - and then sing 'We all hate XYZ'

I'm really annoyed about all this, probably too much, but I don't want to see the goodwill and good name our club has do to waste cos a few idiots can't hold a drink and enjoy the game without swearing, goading and generally being offensive.

If a steward tells you to sit down, you sit down. If they tell you to stop swearing, you stop swearing. If they tell you to keep your shirt on, you keep your shirt on. You don't listen to them - tough.

If you genuinely believe you shouldn't have been kicked out of the stadium - write to the SMC, to both clubs and explain why. Don't try to justify yourselves on here, sort it with those who have 'wronged' you.'"

An excellent post as others have said.

I go to the games to support my team - if I am abusing the other teams fans then that means I am not supporting my team so I won't waste my energy doing that.

The people being abusive are an embarrassment to the club - it may be meant in fun but it is not seen that way. These same people could be an example of what a great club we can be if they channelled their efforts for the good of the club. Only they can choose if they want to be respected or be a stain on the clubs support.

You keep mentioning in the previous page that "rugby is a family sport" for all ages etc if this is so why is it only the younger generation that seem to have all the trouble?
and in an earlier post some1 mentioned some lads giving 2 finger salutes and "come on then" gesters in my response to this i ask if any1 saw the lad from hull make the "ill slit your throat" gesture to me and then point me out to all his friends obviosli trying to start something after the match when people make those sorts of gestures to you how are you ment to react?

You seem level headed in this post so all i'll say is learn and move on,it's all part of growing up icon_wink.gif

Support the team and ignore the other fans even if you don't like their gestures don't stoop to their level.

Just because someone else is an idiot, it doesn't mean you have to be.

People dont want you out, just calm yourselves down a bit and keep supporting the lads on the field with pro Wakey chants.

As has been said before just learn from your mistakes and you will be
fine.

yes totally unacceptable behaviour was this one of the guys you had a laugh and a chat with along with your mates?

like i said earlier you play with feathers....

lets hope that people learn from what as happened we were all young once and all have done things we feel silly about .

move on .

I'll open it again MUTT, i'll keep an eye on it.

I don't think anyone wants to lose the young fans and i certainly don't, i can see both side of this from some of the more mature posters and from the side of the young lads.

You guys went up to Barrow and down to Cardiff and support the team at most games and deserve credit for this BUT just tone it down a bit and think of others around you and the clubs good name. We have FANTASTIC away support that is welcomed by all clubs and i for one enjoy away games for this reason.

If you will take some advice from someone who's been were you are, cut out the foul language and tone it down a bit, enjoy the games and being part of the Wildcats.

A bunch of young men who are let down by one or two who go too far. I know most of them are just there for a laugh and good time and its only the odd one that spoils it.

Shame the thread is ending on this note after fridays game and the fact that HULL fans have given credit to us for our support.

Quote: Top Notch Trinity "In my opinion, yeah, maybe some of the stuff sung was a bit unnecessary and that it was probably not needed, but the majority of songs started from up at the back where the group was sat.

On the number of occassions I looked round, they were always singing and clapping, and nine times out of 10 it was directed at the pitch.

It shows a great deal of passion in my opinion, something which I think should they should be credited for, rather than done for.'"

Thats the issue mate, if we can agree to cut that out and just calm down a bit there is no problem.

The passion and support is clear to see and i for one applaud it.

You seem like you understand the situation and can help us all resolve it and move on.

Having just read all this from start to finish, can i just say that some of the posters who have made comment on these lads need to think back a few years icon_rolleyes.gif

I think it been blown way out of proportion, one or two have let themselves down and got chucked out of the KC and i am sure they regret it, they've had a drink at 16 years old (thats never happened before has it) and behaved like fools (not all of the young lads who go with that group by the way)

Yes we can do without this behaviour but lets give them a chance to learn from it before we string them up icon_rolleyes.gif

Al , i understand your sentiments entirely , i suppose what im trying to get across is they should be more responsible for their actions and not come on the board bleating about the fact they got thrown out. they need to understand that only they can accept ownership for the actions .

yes i drunk under age , yes i travelled up n down the country (As i know you did) yes i laughed and tormented the opposing fans and whistled the theme to Laural n hardy at the police and sung YTS at the stewards . but if i had been thrown out of a ground for being an ar@e i would not write into lets say LE to moan about it as it would be deemed fair cop. I certainly would not of told my old man or mam as i would of got another good hiding .

i do not condone power crazed stewards and their antics but when we were growing up if you swung at a bouncer in roof tops you were gonna get your ar@e kicked , even the great Nigel Wright can clarify that.

like you said its great that these kids come up n down the country and follow us but im sure we will both agree that in all probability on Friday they got more protection than they release and their actions could off resulted in a very good kick in for them. I don't think they understand just how bad it looked on Friday but the first thing i said to you n acko was their gonna end up getting a good hiding as it was so evident they deserved it.
