Is the general conception (sp) that it's going to be similar to Leigh's New stadium in design. I love what they've done there and the crowd and still close to the pitch, which would keep a good atmosphere if full!
Or has the design of the stadium not been planned yet with this announcement just concerning the location??

How much are houses in Stanley?

Not wanting to look through the whole thread but is this stadium to be a council owned and run facility ?

If it is be very careful

You could find yourself out of pocket compared to Belle Vue

The whole ' ethos ' of new stadia is that they work for you 7 days a week generating money , which is fine if they are generating money for your club but if they have to generate money to pay overpaid , unneccessay council staff to run them , then things dont work out quite the same

You must make sure that you are the ones running it , yes you might have to have a couple of council controlled ' watchers ' in the management but if it ends up as council run it will be of no financial benifit

Hope it works out for you , also make sure there is at least a full side standing

Over to you Phil, you can explain this one better than us. Its all to do with some kind of community trust charity or something or other, won't be council owned as far as I'm aware the community trust will own it and the stadium will be there to use by all the community. The fact that we are the only professional sports team in the area that are likely to want to use the stadium (unless all goes t1t5 up at cas) is merely an added bonus!

all will become more clearer tomorrow hopefully, but the council will not own it as they have no money to project it in the first place

But will they run it ?

The council didn't stump up a hardly any of the money for the LSV , they did however underwrite it and the running of it

Believe me if it end up like the situation at Leigh you will not be happy

as far as I have heard no, but all has been kept well secret

Believe me, if the RFL think that we will end up staying at Belle Vue, we'll be even less happy.

The point I am making is to get the right deal for your club you must do everything in your power to make sure that the management of the club is in charge of the running of the stadium
