| Agree with both posts above. I don't think he is deserving of a new deal however he isn't being helped by our tactics or lack of them. Yes part of his role is to organise the set pieces but to me it doesn't look like we've got any or if we have they are terribly rehed. I've held back on my judgement re jk but I now think he's run his course, we are playing the worst rugby league we've played for years and are the worst team in the league at the moment. From the whispers I have heard he has lost the respect of the players and after declaring his interest in two jobs for teams below us in the table then this comes as no surprise

| Cooke has a great eye for half-chances and gaps in the defensive line - if only his body was quick enough to get him through them!

| Quote: Lupset_Airport "lol short memories, Farrell was regarded as nothing but a Fielden from many quarters.'"
Which quarters were those because i never heard Farrell talked about in the same light as Fielden! Faz was the top player in this country for a long time. His game constantly evolved over time and his effort was never less than 100% imo. To compare him to Cooke and Fielden is wrong on so many levels for me.

It was always going to happen, the club should have let him go to Catalan without compensation if that was necessary. As soon as he indicated the desire to leave that should have meant a parting of the ways. The Bradford job story is just a further kick in the balls to the club and the players.
Why people still think WTW owe Kear any loyalty is beyond me.
Who can come in and do a better job the pro Kear supporters say - well jesus christ they couldn't do a much worse one - 5 out of 7 games 30+ points conceded (3 of those games at home with over 45 points conceded in each)
If he had any decency he would realise the games up and resign, but he won't do that - he wants us to pay him off or another job to come up. Maybe if the Noble to go to RU is true, the RFL might pay Kear to take over at Crusaders - we can but hope.
In the meantime, lets keep hoping the positive off-field news keeps coming, cos I can't see much room for optimism on it, whilst Kear is still the coach

I am not pro Kear I am pro what is best for the club and I only want to see Kear leave if there is a better option. You manage not to give an option as to who would replace him but in answer to 'they couldn't do much worse' well a good number have done much worse. Be careful what you wish for because you might just get it.

The fans (some) on here have short memories. But then this is a club who's supporters choose to venerate John Harbin who led the club to 10 concecutive SL losses - says it all. JK is by far and away the best coach we have had in SL, he has had an unlucky season player wise. Still if it makes the Mopseys of this world feel big and important to put the boot in while the guy is on the floor so be it, it says a lot about them. I hope Kear will come out of this and get back on track, why would anyone wish anything else for the bloke - he's earned the right to one poor season in my book, but then it's only since Kear arrived that we considered 9th spot poor!

Either there is no game plan cos Kear is no longer able to deal with the changes in the way the game is being played these days, or cos he has lost the dressing room. Whichever it is, it should be bye bye.
IMO it cannot be any worse. We have had big defeats in the past, yes, but 5 out of 7 games and 3 of them at home, playing boring RL - Sorry, but its become a no brainer.
As for names, it would depend on whose available/we could afford, but any of the following would do a better job than Kear is doing now IMO :
Harrison
Powell
Millward
and the team would play much more inventive and attractive RL

So its alright for Kear to kick the club in the balls by chasing after two other jobs at the most crucial time in the clubs history, but the fans of the club are not allowed to say anything about that and the way the team (coached by him) are performing. What he has done in the past is appreciated but it is exactly that in the past - everyone reaches a sell by date at a club and Kear has reached his.

I'm sick of that bloody dressing room nearly every coach we've had in the last 20 years has lost it at some point, maybe we need a new dressing room not a new coach.
The rugby has been boring in the past, probably worse than we are watching now, the difference is that in years gone by the threat of relegation has made the games interesting and exciting. Don't seem to remember many complaints about the style of rugby when Kear kept us up or when he took us to 5th last year but it was the same game plan just with better players i.e Brough.

I reckon Powell would be an excellent choice. I am not sure why people think otherwise?

In your opinion, personally I think the opinions you and others like you peddle are well past it's sell by date, but it's just an opinion.
For my money it's some of our players who are past their sell by date, and Jesus Christ couldn't resurrect some of them. If JK is guilty of anything it's believing they wanted to play when begging for a contract, I look at the players and blame them squarely for the current debacles. JK can give them the tactics, training and even attempt to inspire but he can't make idlers into heroes. Truth is far to many of our second chance players have reverted to type - very sad.
To believe that anyone can do any better with the resources available at Wakey is pure folly.

What worries is me that if you look at the squad and decide who needs culling there isn't much left. More worrying is the ones that are worth keeping would probably not get into another SL side. The way we have played of late I think we would struggle against some of the championship clubs if we played them on a 'good day'
