Problem is you spout so much vitriol I don’t do believe you.
Your not telling anyone with half a brain what they don’t already know, Miller is a good player and would do OK at Wigan.
He wouldn’t however change Wigan into the team they so want to be, he simply isn’t a strong enough personality imo at a club with such huge expectations.
If he goes that’s his choice assuming they actually do want him but personally I think it will be the worst decision he will ever make. If it were Saints or Warrington I’d say go for it but Wigan under its current ownership is not a happy ship.

I think after the recent fans forum the ownership and senior management have put their hand up and confirmed they have made some errors in the last 2/3 years off the pitch, not to mention a few on it, and I expect things to change under the new coaching set up of Wane and Peet in the changing rooms.
Losing Hastings though, Wigan are looking for a new talisman in the halves. If Miller goes he isn’t that player.
I suppose the expectation will be on Bateman to become that player after a fairly average return to SL but I also think the pressure will be on the new half to take that role too.
In reality of Milky were to join Wigan I think he would be in a 3 way battle for the 2 half spots with Field and Smith who are both already at the club.
If he signed and hit the ground running and the fans bought into him it could be a good move, but if he has a slow start fabs would be on his back and pressure would ramp to pretty quickly.
I guess it depends on what his drivers are at this stage of his career. Wigan said they are in a position to spend up to full cap so he may get a wage rise but I’m not sure he on the field would be happier at Wigan.
Sometimes I feel it’s better the devil you know, especially if he is happy and settled at Trinity.
Another thing to factor in, Wigan have been strongly linked to Lachlan Walmsley (who I think Trinity were linked with) currently playing in the lower divisions, so they would need to free up 2 quota spots if they were to sign both, with only 1 currently off contract.

No wonder Wigan are in trouble if they’re planning to keep Smith as their halfback,

I agree he’s poor but he’s on a long term contract and easy to forget he took the Australian Schoolboys team apart last time they were over and got a call up to England Knights off the back of those performances and his form in the Academy.
Looks a player shot on confidence.
He clearly has ability but not showing it at the minute.
New coach may well resurrect his development. He has been awful this year though.
It is also the reason thought they are in the market and looking at Miller as neither half they have signed on next year in Field or Smith have done enough to be guaranteed a start.

To be fair Smith is very young unless I have the wrong Smith?

Bet Millers glad to know he’s being replaced even though nobody has told him he’s leaving.

He is, I personally don’t think he is up the job as a 7 in a team that aspires to be competing for trophies but time will tell.
There are a number of halves with NRL experience floating about, but even if Miller left I wouldn’t be overly keen on them.
Lachlan Lewis is poor, Corey Norman has been very good but for the last few years has been poor, Ash Taylor on a $1m contract and really struggled for its duration. All will come with big wage expectations.
I’d rather Wakey run with Lino and Gaskill in the halves IF Miller were to leave but to be honest I don’t think it is likely that he will.

I think he means Lachlan Lewis, the lad thats just got sacked for nicking some speakers all NRL clubs got issued with and flogging them. Not even a particularly good player either.

| I thought Ash Taylor had tried a stint at SL but didn’t like it and went back to Australia. The signings that appear to prosper the most are those that have gone through the NRL training system but are considered first team fringe players. I have been surprised by Manu Ma’u at Hull, he looked a one man wrecking crew at Paramatta but not anywhere near this at Hull, I would say however that he does appear to have improved over the last two games.
I struggle to think of many so called first grade Australian who have come over and not struggled which probably hits their confidence further. It therefore depends on the mentality of the player if they can force through the climatisation period or just give up and return home after one season.
I would be surprised and disappointed if we let Miller go because he is fairly resilient however, if you rely on Gaskell to fill the number 6, do any of us actually believe he would go an entire season without picking up an injury.

But none of our back division has got through this season without an injury layoff .. including Miller.

Think you mean Tyrone Roberts who went to Warrington but didn’t do that long as home sick family
