If we carry on like this am actually questioning should we be in Superleague and are we cheating the game by not being consistently competitive. Should the game have a 10 year cycle that clubs that consistently finish in the bottom 4 year on year have some sort of sebbaticle in the championship to give others a proper go at things. Does running a club as a business genuinely work for a club?

Ditto. He has to be the most over-rated player going round. It’s not that he is a bad player, he does do some decent stuff but how the hell he got into the England squad i’ll never know. His handling is poor, has little creativity, not especially quick and lacks a lot of game smarts. Standard superleague centre maybe but not international class. Probably stayed here too long, received too little quality coaching when he needed it the most and plateaued.

Bad night tonight and some players had a bit of a nightmare and we know who they were and they will know that themselves. But IMO I think Saints were absolutely awesome in every department. It was a total onslaught in attack and defence right from the start. Every kick on tackle 5 had snow on it and put us under relentless pressure and unfortunately our kicks were easily dealt with. The Saints were all over us when we had the ball and Mr. Hicks didn't do us many favours. So I'm afraid on this occasion we have to bow to their superiority and acknowledge they were very good. We couldn't compete with them tonight and whoever had been in charge i think the outcome would have been the same.

As a neutral, Saints seemed to be on Wakey before they received the ball, either they are supermen, or perpetually offside and Hicks couldn’t see it, Whatever they are doing, the rest of us need to copy it, and get whatever Roby gets in his ovaltine.

Listening to yesterdays pre match interview with Chester on Radio Leeds....

4 times Chester indicates this season was just about completing fixtures to honour Sky obligations.

Considering all suer league clubs were in the same boat with regards honouring Sky obligations,Chester is the only coach that has failed miserably to motivate his team.

Also admitted consistency has been a problem for a NUMBER of years,but he's NOW trying to address that issue!!

Im guessing Chesters team talks after lockdown,went something like this:

Basically,look guys we've got to complete these fixtures or we may have to pay Sky some more money back,i know its a pain in the ass,but Michael already has to find £250k to give back to Sky next year (by the way thanks for taking the pay cut,that covered the £250k).Im still working on the game plans,i realise we've had a problem with consistency for a number of years guys,so I'm going to address that now,well not right now,i will leave it until next year,because this season doesn't really matter,were safe - No relegation!!But what i can guarantee you guys is I'm going to sort the half back problem with immediate effect,I've gone and signed a French Fullback,told you to trust me!!You can never have enough fullbacks,i can't believe i could sign him,but then Michael reminded me loads of our season ticket holders had agreed to not having a refund!!

We were made to look utter crap because they were all over us like a rash. We didn't have time to blink never mind create anything. That's why they are where they are but they were way offside on numerous occasions but if you can get away with it your going to do it.

They are all winners, used to winning, well coached, smart with and without the ball, play the percentage game moving up quickly when the ball is played. It's not rocket science is it? A good coach works on these sort of things all week ready for game day and a set plan. What do we get from our leader?

Don’t need to get a grip we have had 2 decent seasons apart from that we are whipping fodder. Is the reason that SL struggles as it’s the usual 4-5 clubs and the rest make up the numbers. Is it the reason why fans of smaller clubs see Toronto as threat to their Superleague place. The more this carries on the more you have to say just the one up one down scenario may not be good enough as we seem to scrape through each year.
