| Quote craigizzard="craigizzard"Leeds have more players who came through the system because it's a better and bigger system than at other clubs, but as for only going for "name" players when looking outside you're completely wrong. If a Peacock or Buderus is available then they've sometimes gone in for them, but off the top of my head, Hetherington has also signed Poching, Dunemann, Pitts, Kirke, Hardaker, Delaney, Leuluai, Hauraki, Griffin, Moore, Lunt and so on, with varying success but with none of them being "named players" before they came. How does Leeds's latest signing, an Australian that everyone had to google to find out who he was, fit into your theory?
There is absolutely no suggestion that Amor isn't a Leeds-type signing because he isn't a big enough name. After all, Leeds signed him in the first place.
They signed him as a development project, he's developed, there's no reason they wouldn't want him back.'"
IMHO = means In my honest opinion, which is what this forum represents despite the fact that some seem to think they actually know which always makes me laugh.
So I(your)HO you think the way you do and you believe it, but IMHO I don't. As stated, know your enemy and I've watched for years how Leeds work. Thus I think and admit hope (a lot) that my intuition is right on this.
As for the named players bit, this is where you totally undo your argument. Only a Leeds fans could be conceited (and I don't blame you) enough to suggest that any of these players were not named or much lorded players, especially Poching, Dunemann, Pitts(as an up and coming), Leuluai and Lunt - this shows what a splendid some Leeds fans live on and why Amor is probably best not visiting it. Most other clubs would be happy with any of those players as major signings (that is the back handed compliment you are missing in spectacular style by the way).
Poching not a named player is especially hillarious as when you signed him he was probably the hottest overseas player in SL

clearly you're upset at being handed your backside on a plate by a leeds fan, but that really shouldn't prevent you from understanding that i was actually agreeing with you.

I'm not sying that those players were nobodies, but few of those named were rated any higher than Amor. The way you go on Leeds would only sign Peacock/Buderus level proven internationals. No doubt you'd have said, crossing your fingers, that Poching wasn't a Leeds "named player" signing at the time.
You obviously don't know how Leeds work, by the way, but, as a matter of interest how do Leeds's last six signings (Achurch, Griffin, Moore, Lunt, Hauraki, Cross) fit into your "humble" opinions, and which of them are more or less feted than Amor?
Maybe Amor will stay at Wakefield, but it won't be for the baseless reasons you've constructed out of thin air with your magical intuition.

| Quote vastman="vastman" They love their big signings from the other top clubs no matter how clapped out they are, which Amor isn't. Above all they just adore a big Aussie, and will sign an Aussie prop almost as an instinct which is the only explanation foe signing Sam Backo!
:'"
While I'm here, could you give an example of a clapped-out big signing from a top club over the last 15 years? Only Jamie Peacock fits the bill as being both a big signing and being from (at the time) another top club (Gareth Ellis need not apply). Was he clapped-out or am I misremembering?
Would also like to see a chart comparing domestic and overseas front-rowers for Leeds and Wakefield over a similar time period that backs up Leeds signing Aussie props as "instinct".

You really don't want to take a compliment do you.
I'll go with Darrell Griffin, top club Hudds so we are told and a recent England International - but looks clapped out now IMHO. You and I may not rate him as a top player but many do or at least did.
Was Ellis from a top club! WOW and thanks.
At what point did I in any way suggest Wakefield recruitment policy was in any way equal to Leeds - I would not dream of suggesting such a thing.
In your pedantry and paranoid fashion you seem to be reading into my post a criticism of the Leeds club that clearly isn't there.
My argument revolves purely around one player and how my perceived opinion of the Leeds mind set might affect the final outcome. It's just speculation, an opinion - something we are allowed in this great nation of ours.
Or would you just be happier if I typed "we all hate Leeds, we all hate Leeds" over and over which is what you normally get.

Give it a rest, nobody has used the term "owned" in years - but you keep on with this one like the parasite you are, it's the closest you'll ever get to a win.

I know I was being ironic - now shall we move on.
Leeds IMHO will go for bigger and possibly better in their opinion than Amor. If they do take him back then fine, like most on here I'm grateful to Leeds for loaning him in the first place.
So you can either accept that or be doomed to having Rhubarb as a friend and IMHO you don't deserve that

i am sure that your personal abuse towards me will incur the full wrath of the moderating team.
i don't like the term owned, i have never really used it, but it did seem appropriate here - oh and people still do use it quite frequently so once more you're digging when already in a hole.
the poster from leeds has handed you your backside on a plate, and yet you still can't let it go.

oh jesus, that sounds like the bottom of the barrel being scraped. griffin is not and has never been a big high profile player. leeds got caught short a bit last year with their recruitment and hence why they ended up with richard moore (who quite frankly post his crohns diagnosis is below average) and darrell griffin who has a heart the size of a pea.
i've heard it suggested that as it looked like they were on the slide (league position) they struggled to attract who they wanted. this may or may not be true, but hats off to mcderrmott for taking them to the title from where he did.

You can both cut it out.
Debate by all means.
