Heard today that only 350 tickets sold to Saints fans. Very disappointing when Matt was looking to another sell-out. In his interview with Martyn Sadler he made it clear that continuous full houses could determine the extent of ground expansion.
What is the ground capacity at Wakefield? Surely it's the prerogative of Wakefield Trinity to be able to sell tickets to their fans and fill the ground to capacity,Rather than expecting away fans to attend in large numbers? I hope you stuff them though

I hope you stuff them though The capacity is around 9,300 You’re talking about a utopia in terms of spectator sports but outside of around 20 football clubs no one can sell out every game without any away fans. Wakefield are taking anywhere from 750 to 2000 fans to away games so it’s not unreasonable to expect one of our games top clubs to fetch a bit more than 350 fans. Sts fans are a bit entitled nowerdays so I hope they miss a classic and or get absolutely stuffed by us.

Well we took no where near 700 to Saints, it was Friday night over there and it was one of our lowest numbers this season so I wouldn't criticise Saints coming over on a Friday evening

| Agree RWB. Friday evening on the M62 to watch a loop fixture, I don't blame em.
I also don't think we should be relying on away support to hit capacity. Those games against Huddersfield, Catalans, Toulouse, London (plus Lancashire sides on a mid-season Thursday or Friday night) can still be huge events, but we need 9,000 home fans to make it so. And with the job the club's doing with marketing, social media and a winning team, that's not unrealistic in the next two or three years. Hull KR are doing it now with 10,000+ home fans even for the 'small' games.

I thought that Matt said he would look at increasing capacity in the North Stand first as that's where the increase of support would be???

I thought that Matt said he would look at increasing capacity in the North Stand first as that's where the increase of support would be??? I don’t recall him saying he would look at any option first and discussed both in their own right and what they would offer. The west would only increase by 2-300 or so I think he said but it is needed. I do suspect that will be the next to be completed which would take us to 9.5k. I’d suspect then if we are regularly getting 9k + he would look to do the north in 2026 off season as that’s a big multi million pound investment for extra 1,700 + extra facilities it will bring. I still think some away fans stay away due to the west although it has seen improvements. A roof, new barriers, fixing up the terracing and the planned refreshment stand would likely see more away fans and probably home ST sales for the west. Whichever he goes with will improve the stadium and experience.

| Struggling to pick a 17 from that
Russell Nikotemo Rourke Scott
To miss out, but there could many different iterations.
A good place to be in for the run in.

Agree - Glad I'm not trying to pick 1-17!

| I agree. Second row is particularly difficult.
