Surely the discussion of potential signings for 2026 etc is now out of bounds due to obviously no Facts or basis behind these 4th hand rumours/gossip….. and to think I was going to start a new thread about DCE signing.

You are normally the first one to “Keep it Positive” (and I agree) but we know what he was talking about is speculation, most of it is.

So I guess the point being made is context.
I agree anything is discussable but context is important 


If you post an unsubstantiated rumour and imply you think it's true, the obvious answer is for someone to simply say it isn't.


If you say where the rumour came from and then draw a conclusion I think people are more likely to discuss it.

I never said it was a fact, I said pure Speculation, whilst even saying I don’t believe it in the opening post. I also gave the source of what I’d heard, which to your credit Poptart you explained what the tweet was and not act like a condescending knob. Wollo bobbed an unsubstantiated rumour on which was interesting, though ignored by Jamie.  

Theres simply nothing different to what I’ve ‘discussed’ than reporting about a potential signing which get done very often on here. All abit pathetic really.

As last post, NRL, report on S media, They will not put any money in !  They will own the running of everything, !  They only want 10 teams & insist on 2 french teams !   Teams named, wakey & Leigh not in + Salford.  !  Reported Total RL.

From what I guess is happening. There will be a few clubs in favour of this nrl (obviously the ones in it) and then a few obviously preferring something different. 

I think it’s absolutely barmy that in year 2 of a new 10 year plan (with many tangible and measurable improvements ) that we are looking to re-invent the wheel yet again.

I think its time to tell the NRL where to put their head. Then get smarter at running our own leagues. 
The money is there but it's the age old problem of greed amongst the "top" clubs and clubs spending too much on players - particularly from down under and generally spending more than they generate IMO the French add nothing to SL - sort their own SL out. 
Just my thoughts of course - oh and if the wakey/cas thing ever happened- I'm done. 

Agree the best laugh is they say Catalan get 9 thousand gates , and a lot of away fans to Catalan .It is because of the hot weather ,and a lot of fans make the trip as part of the Holiday .But we're are these so called Catalan fans when they are away. Allegedly,  according to a lot of Aus media, discussions with Peter V’landys and Wigan owner and Wire owner have Allegedly been going on for weeks and allegedly met up in vegas for discussions. I haven’t a clue like most what is going on but what ever potentially happens, I hope Trin are not adversely effected. 


The whole reason I started this thread was the fact that Matt Ellis himself discussed going to Manchester about an NRL thing and Brian Carney mentioning it on sky prior to a game. 

It's clearly being discussed in the media. How that turns out in reality who knows, but the one thing openly talked about is money so I would highly doubt the NRL and RFL would not want Matt and Wakefield in there.
