I really hope the lad goes well but really think other champ clubs are building stronger but there is a long time and afew new players to come in

He hasn’t not been available for selection though he’s just not been getting picked and seems to have recovered from the ACL.

All signings are a risk but he will dominate Championship with his carries out of our 20/30 and tried running the unders line from 10m.

Big upgrade on what we had last year even with injury record.

He’s been stuck behind king and Wardle, who are possibly the top 5 best centres in SL. That’s no shame as both are quality. We finished the season with Croft and Lynn, Thornley is certainly an upgrade on both of these. Really looking forward to seeing who we get next. With Leeming incoming and O’Neil being a belter, Powell would be great.

Think Powell will end up at Salford or Leigh.

He’s not dropping out of SL for a year or 2 yet, plus we have out 9s sorted.

We need to confirm another centre who I’ve no idea about, Jerry and Walmsley then some Props.

Mago signed for another year at Wigan, Cust gone to Salford.

Thornley is the kind of signing we need to do well in the championship- aided by some younger players who will no doubt follow.
We have a new Coach and recruitment set up, I’m quite content that they’ve forgotten more about RL player recruitment than I’ll ever know so they get my vote, not the keyboard coaches!

If Thornley can stay fit he will be the best centre in the competition. I was speaking to him prior to the GF and he looks super fit. He is also the type of guy who puts the team ahead of himself. Whilst he was anxious to get back into the Wigan team he realised that the only way that would happen was if somebody got injured and that was the last thing he wanted. Good luck to him.

If I was in charge at Wakefield I would be speaking to Wigan about taking Hill, Eseh, Forber, Shorrocks and Farrimond on loan.
