No not really. Players at all clubs sometimes leave and do not renew their contracts, it happens. The difference is with us we do not replace like for like.
TJ and Lweis out... Lineham and Tafua in... then add Fifita, Tini, Batch, Miller ... look at who comes in. Can you see a pattern developing.

Surely we should have been looking to tie the lad down long term before it came to this?
Of course, nobody can begrudge him or anyone else leaving if the are offered a contract down under but, after already having Johnstone leave, we really ougt to have had our better players, especially the youngsters, tied up for as long as possible.

It doesn't feel quite as bad just yet but, with all of the plyers that have been allowed to leave, it feels like the Kath Hetherington era, with everyone for sale.
Ok, we scraped through that and eventually started to build again but, the stakes are getting a little higher and if we have any aspirations about being one of the lucky 12 clubs, we must stay in SL.

Its OK saying we should keep them, but its not just the clubs decision - it's a two-way decision.
If I remember correctly, Lewis said that he was leaving and I don't think there was anything we could do to keep him here tbh.

I liked Murphy and wish him well but he obviously sees his future away from us so I’ll forget him and hope we find another for some other club to benefit from.

A Championship club without money will always be a selling club because that becomes their business model. They find young talent develop them and sell them on it as always been the way unless on the rare occasion someone with money steps in.

I pay into 1873 to produce youngsters for WAKEFIELD TRINITY, the fact we can not afford to keep any of them just says to me, is it all worth it ?
