Nah, move on I say.
I think he may go well. You only have to look at Jay Pitts, left us as a young starlet, never really did much, eventually came home to play the best RL of his career, it can happen - a lot.

| His value has always been as a decent utility player. He fancied more but there was always someone a little better than him in his preferred positions, certainly in the halves. Personally, I liked him at full back. I hope it goes well. The frustrating thing is that if he does well, it'll be in the mode we could have had him as, utility.
On the other hand, the wages for a Wigan utility back might be better than for a Wakey utility, and a better chance he'll get a medal

| I really don't understand the interest. He's a Wigan player.

| Not overly surprising, he was a product of their youth system under Wane and Peet so they know all about him

Yes PT but he's also a martyr to those who despise the evil club who let him go - and of course he's now way better than Morgan Smith will ever be
I don't get it either, never did, he gets more comments than most of the players who actually play for us, most odd.

You seem to have plenty of time for any player who doesn't actually play for us, are you sure you know how this supporting lark actually works?

The difference with Ryan from other past players is that he is a Wakefield lad, a Wakefield fan, his dad is a Wakefield fan, and known by many Wakefield fans, so his connection to the club is stronger than most past players. I know people have different views on his potential and abilities, but I think it's fair with Ryan for people to take an interest. A lot of people on the terraces of Belle Vue have a personal interest in seeing him do well.
From a playing perspective, I'll trust the club and coaches on knowing his value to them and the price they were willing to pay. That's a different issue. But then, there is Ryan, the Wakey lad. That's a different thing.

Interest/obsession fine line with this player.
Don’t buy your argument on this one.
There have been plenty of players in our past who fit that profile but don’t get the attention! Many of those had one on Hampshire in that at least we were their first club and they didn’t take Wigans money. I’ve no issue with that but you can’t have it both ways - he’s not a Wakey lad in playing terms, he started at Wigan and now he’s back there, that’s his home club not Wakefield, not imo anyway. Best of luck to him, nice lad, but I really don’t care unless he’s playing against us.
