As a Leeds fan what can you tell us about this lad?

Given we are down to one proper Prop at the moment, he will definitely make the match day 17 for us you’d have thought

He’s a young lad learning his trade.
He’s one for the future from what I’ve seen of him but not yet ready for regular selection.

Good attitude, good engine and will work all day for you. Never let us down when given a chance.

Yes, a bit of back scratching with Leeds could be a positive thing especially in the short term.

I tend to agree, if we aren’t going to play him in next couple games then makes a lot of sense.

Would imagine that this week we actually have a few more names to select from - certainly Bowden and Jorge, possibly kershaw and Lino, even before this wp seemed to be going for the size of butler rather than aydin

I feel a bit sorry for Butler after Saturday, that sin binning could happen to anybody and there was definitely no intent to drive his opponent into the ground. Although I'm yet to be impressed by him I'm also yet to be unimpressed. Aydin has time Butler doesn't, he needs a big game and soon.

Is it not a concern that this could be a mini trial ahead of a permanent move? I'm harsh and I accept I am. But I have seen nothing from Butler to warrant selection over this lad. If Leeds snap him up and he becomes a top player we could live to regret this one

He needs game time so if he gets a chance at Leeds then it will be great development for him. He will also experience better facilities. Hopefully he is still in the clubs long term plans as he showed up well when he's played.

People are acting like Aydin is the answer to all our problems. He is a young lad who in my opinion hasn’t broken any pots. I’m fact in his last game vs Wire he was a liability in defence allowing a opposition forwards to step him leaving a huge gap.

Aydin has a lot to prove yet imo and I’m not convinced he’s yet good enough. Of course, as a young Wakefield player i do hope that he does develop into a good SL player whether that be us or someone else.

I think this works in the clubs favour saving a bit of money and also not standing in the way of an opportunity for Aydin.

As it stands we have Fifita, Bowden, Arona, Whitbread who are all ahead of him.

No mention of Butler here which is the point I made. If the lad is aggrieved at a lack of game time then you can understand it to some degree.

I'm not saying he's a world class talent and has already established himself. But by the same token he's never going to get there by not playing.

I played prop myself and I happen to like what I see with this lad. If he comes back all good. If he comes back to haunt us we might live to regret it.
