Clearly reffed differently to the opening rounds, I suspect Fifita and Hughes would've picked up a yellow card otherwise. I guess we'll see on Monday if any of the tackles will recieve a ban.

I dont think an 8 point try would have been awarded as the offence was scoring the try and not after the try had been scored. If that makes sense.

Don’t think anything warranted a card today. Possibly only the raised elbow into Crowther face. I was very surprised it wasn’t penalised at the time.

Yes, I commented on that at the time.
It galls me that tacklers are penalised (rightly) for head high shots, yet they do nothing about players with the ball who lead with the forearm.

Dboy if thats the case then it would seem that an 8 point try should have been awarded as it was an high tackle by Ratchford, but common sense would say no to a 8 pointer.

We had an 8 point try scored against us at Catalans when Adkins fouled their player in the act of scoring, that's why I brought it up.

At the moment it doesn’t seem that RL and common have ever met each other.

I was impressed with him for explaining to Miller why he pulled up trinity breakaway after the Warrington man lost the ball in the act of scoring over our line, we looked certain to go the length and score the end. I must admit I didn’t know that ruling, so fair play to Hicks, and the microphone picking up the explanation.

Miller's reply was funny when he said "I wouldn't have got far anyway"

You wouldn't have heard the explanation on sky, they'd be too busy arguing amongst themselves about it.

Have to say Hicks did well and was constantly talking to the players - even managing a few laughs too!


Also Big Dave asked him about it and he got short shrift.....
