In my opinion and that’s all it is but MC must decide if he wants to keep a friend and lose support and revenue or terminate his contract and allow the club a reset under a new regime. I cannot believe that Chester is the best available maybe he was once but based on the last few seasons he is not and it is time for a complete rethink. It is a sad fact that his removal will probably increase season ticket sales because most of us are fed up of the team bouncing along the bottom season after season with little sign of any improvement.

On Google social .media news, Chester & MC have agreed on a new contract, not signed yet but it will shortly !
So, same again lads !!!

Wishful thinking, but if a new contract extension is imminent hopefully it will contain a clause indicating an early termination, say six "bad" results or whatever, and that's it if no improvement is evident..

I don’t expect we will have to listen to how poor we are as a club because logic suggests by offering Chester a new contract the club can stand the loss of revenue this will produce.

I got shot down last week for saying we would lose money if cc giving a new deal so i agree with you we will.release ST with new coach say danny ward or even a unknown aussie assistant and fans will have somthing to be optimistic about and go to next season a little more hopefull and will wantto go with cc some fans wont be intrested andnot want to pay for the dross there gonna see.

Under 16s win and under 19s win against an unbeaten Cas team which is no mean feat , it’s reassuring to know that we do have coaches at the club who know how get the best out of their players

It was a cracking win forthe academy yesterday and dont want to take anything awsy from the lads but it was expected cas did have a lot out like all the lads that played in sl 2 weeks ago plusa few others playing

For me the crux of what’s been wrong over the last three seasons is our inability to do the full 80. It’s not losing, we expect that we know we are not the best. It’s our inability to win from a winning position, it’s the now dreaded half time team talk for me.

How many games have we lost the last few years from being ahead at half time or certainly well in the game. That’s the bit I can’t accept.

Even if you look at our four victories only the Hudds game could be called anything like a complete performance.

Wigan and lowly Leigh nearly came back to pinch it and even HKR dominated for the last 20 and were unlucky to go a man down.

This is the killer for me, it’s like a just enough mentality. No joy or desire to dominate or climb the table. Just enough to stay above Leigh, it’s pathetic at times, you can see the cue go on the rack.

I know in some games the effort has been there but the mental toughness isn’t and there seems to be an invisible trigger point where we decide we can’t win. That wasn’t the Trinity of a few years ago.

There is something wrong and it’s deeper than just not being able to afford the best, we’ve never been able to afford the best.

Put simply I. I longer think we are a team, the players don’t play for the coach, for each other or for the club and that will prove disastrous at some point. The last few years we’ve been lucky with London and Leigh and Toronto but that can’t last.

My theories may be wrong but like everyone else I believe something has to give.

Really to echo most people’s opinions

I thought the Chester signing was crazy

He came to the end of his contract and could naturally move on while we brought in some one new
Would have made perfect sense

I’m finding for the first time in 30 years I’m not excited about the games, I’m not going to as many games and while I’d always listen on the radio I regularly turn off early
Also I don’t chat about Wakey to friends and family as much


It’s crazy as to a certain extent things are good for us
I think we had a stable talented side, minus a prop and a hooker how can we get better? Nothing wrong with the squad IMO
Have we ever had a better half’s pairing as an example?
More back room staff than ever
A great club owner
And could be finally at the point of a major stadium improvement

I can’t help but think replacing Chester would really get us going on the pitch

So so many fans wanted to see chester go his resigning as a bit of a slap in the face
It’s understandable that’s a lot of us feel so deflated
