I agree he was a very good prop but if he wants to extend his career out at a lower league club its probably the right thing for him.
I'd have happily kept him but not sure how much longer he could have gone so bringing in younger bodies is probably better.

I suppose that’s my point, there aren't many about, saying we need a prop and finding them are two different things.

Truth is I’d rather have Westerman at prop than us sign a sub standard prop. They may be specialist props but there bad specialist props and that’s no use whatsoever, that’s just making up the numbers.

I like Battye, not because he’s world class, he clearly isn’t but because he brings something to the table, he definitely improves the team.. if we don’t land him I hope we don’t panic, good players can come free during a season.

If we have to start the season a full time prop short so be it.

You got to feel for Walker, worst season ever to move to any club, the re-emergence of Jowitt and a generally crap 10 match run to start your career but sadly he is now the elephant in the room.
