Just listened to Andy Last’s interview on Trinity tv regards starting for the club.
The bloke oozes enthusiasm and is exactly what the club needs to create the right culture and environment that was talked about on the Q&A session on Thursday night.

Andy Last & Willie Poching both bring experience and knowledge to our coaching setup,which hopefully will get the team playing as we all know they can.
Maybe the academy( a vital cog for a club like Trinity) will be the benefactor of some input from these two also.

Sometimes the best signings aren’t always the players who run out on the pitch .

Sorry to see Andy Last go, he is a very good coach and did a good job for us in very difficult circumstances. Unfortunately for Andy the circumstances meant he felt he had to leave to further himself and think the move was best for both Andy Last & the club as both needed new directions.

You have certainly got a very good guy in Andy Last and will certainly help Chester.

Hull F C didn't want Andy Last to leave the club and their fans are sorry to see him leave so their loss is our gain. Having seen Andy on Trinity TV he comes across as a great bloke and eager to get started. We never really replaced John Kear which left Chris Chester exposed so hopefully now along with Willie Poching we can make a fresh start and hopefully become more competitive for next season.

I think it was Jack Gibson who said that to win you have to get the back room sorted first. On paper at least that is an impressive back room staff, tons of experience at the highest levels.

Sounds like a great appointment. Experience of the actual job rather than just an ex-player.

I have to comment that Hull are taking a real gamble. Brett Hodgson may do a great job and he knows the UK, but the Tigers didn't tear up any trees last year, so it's not as if he's learned from the best. In fact, his experience comes mainly from working under Maguire, and we know what delights he brought to the game (wrestle, wrestle, wrestle).

True, their loss our gain perhaps, it's usually the other way around so if it went that way it would be nice.

This is a good appointment, a lot of experience, and will bring fresh ideas to the table.

With him and Poching, a bit of a new look backroom.

Could do with the strength and conditioner position freshening up next I feel

I get the impression that is a bit of a Poching speciality, don’t know where I heard that so it may be wrong.

Think we have brought in a young conditioner to deal with weight training ext .to work along side the one we got .Was mentioned in the November zoom meeting

Don't know why but through the years Hull FC has been a happy hunting ground for us both in players and Coaches.

Toppo finished his career at Hull on a high then became our coach, then years later Kear. Probably out two best coaches in recent years.

Plenty of players, Miller, Lyne and Green currently but there have been loads and most have been pretty good. Possibly our best?

Let's hope it stays that way.

James Leuluai, although at the back end of his career he was a class act and played over 50 games for Wakefield.

Between playing his last game at Hull and becoming our coach he played for Oldham! But you wont remember that you wont have been born
