Indeed. Lots of great effort and some skill today but we lost through errors. Nothing to do with ref.
Some 50-50s went against us but they were 50-50s.

Bit of a moot point when the opposition also had a completion rate the same.

So to answer your question yes you can expect to win a game with 55% completion rate.

Video ref has also robbed Castleford. It's really not good enough that these video ref decisions are so often incorrect

Video ref made one iffy decision against Richardson but the referee spent the rest of the game hammering Wire as some sort of apology!

It pains me to say it but the decision for Swift’s try was taken out of his hands by the on field referee giving a try. I could not see if he grounded the ball but in all probability he did. What I would ask is how could he he even get into that position because we had enough cover. With regards the second try if the roles were reversed then I would have expected a try to be awarded.
We can go on blaming the referees, the pitch, bad luck and injuries but we lost to a weakened Hull team who have a cup match on Sunday.

And we can go on attacking our own team. Yes, we made errors. So did Hull. I'm not having it that you can keep excusing poor decisions that decide matches. That is my view and that's that. So many of you love blaming our coach and players but when officials f up it's hey ho

They were as bad. The decision cost us that game

The knee in the back could be argued about but no one spotted it on the field at the time and until Sky Sports mentioned it I hadn't seen it either. Did anyone on here see it at the time? Even without that we had enough chances to win the game against a very average Hull team but we didn't take them. It was a much more positive performance than the last couple of league games and the players seemed to be wanting to play for each other so I hope that continues throughout the season

How many times have you seen way, way, less contact and a penalty given to the defending side.
In most games you cant even breath on the FB (or Centre) and a penalty is given to the defending side.
Genuine attempt ? probably
Fair attempt ? never

For me it was a poor call.

Olpherts effort was a no try in every situation other than the ridiculous rule we have where the VR has to find concrete proof that the refs decision is wrong!

That said I think the replays showed Olpherts had clearly lost the ball yet he still got the try
