Yes it’s even named ‘The Wigan Walk*due to the fans of that club Leaving well before the end of games in some cases.

| Quote normycat="normycat"Think having 2 players injured in first half and not able to return would have contributed to players looking gassed. The effort and defending was much better than it was a few weeks ago'" well they need to kick themselves up the backside and get fit and take some personal pride in the own conditioning and fitness it's an 80 minute game not 20 each half.

| There is no doubt that the two of the Marshall tries should not have been given. Clear knock on by Sarginson and ten metres from the mark when he tapped and ran.
That last one is the frustration, because in every game it will be stopped and taken back, and on the highlights he actually ran away from the mark, presumably because he could see defenders in front of it. Very poor.
However, what irritated me more was seeing Tangata pointing at the mark and complaining to the ref as Marshall trotted past him. I would have preferred it if he'd just tackled him instead.
What I can also say, however, from watching the highlights, Bachelor's try looks less like a try than it did live, and BJB's try would have been an interesting video ref decision.
The Marshall try from the tap is the killer though. That is inexcusable from the ref.
As for Ganson, the refs have become more reactive to cheating, which is Ganson reacting to what he sees, so fair play to him for that.

I thought same bout batch try but there is pictures proving it a try with his hand on the ball and ball on the floor so even questioning the bish try its a 18 4 turnaround with trys that should/shouldn't of been awarded.for me though it just wasnt the trys the miller incident was a joke and wigan where constantly off side

| In this present day game ,it is more about hoodwinking the ref than playing your opponents.

My thoughts exactly. Don't ask for the whistle, play to it.

It was right in front of us and was definitely a try....he grounded it a split second before the Wigan defender kicked it

Live, I agree. Just a comment on how it looked on the highlights.

| There's a picture doing the rounds on twitter showing Batch there first with downward pressure.
Although not the reason we lost - the standard of refereeing was poor again and has been in decline for years tbh. For both sides there were bad calls. However the tap on the 20 was criminal, you can accept not getting the 50:50's or even the 70:30's where there is an element of doubt. For this call there was none, truly woeful. Also this argument that ref's should be immune from criticism isn't washing with me, in any line of work such a monumental balls up would be criticised. Let's not forget that this is this guys full time job, he trains all week and gets paid to go out there and referee the match.

| Tough to take that one - Marshall either got a rush of blood to the head, or deliberately chanced his arm; either way, it was pretty much the most blatant referee error you're ever likely to see. No interpretation, no unsighted and no confusion of bodies - just a player cheating, and getting away with it.
Overall, our inability to hold on to the ball or come up with a decent end of set option in the 1st half probably did for us, but it speaks to our defensive efforts that despite that, we went into the sheds all square; I can't work out what the score would have been if the ref had ruled out the dodgy tries for both teams - but the fact that we made that game a nailbiter suggests progress in the right direction.

Wigan may well go on to win the GF and to push them so close was an excellent effort, especially with 2+ bodies missing.
Like you, I believe that Marshall chanced his arm and got away with one - a poor error from the man in the middle.

| Very positive signs regarding our defense , great effort, great determination, could not question the commitment. You have to question the coaching staff who had us passing the ball in wet weather. Brilliant effort to go in level at half time having had no ball control. Second half much improved, really competed for first 30 then we did not get any luck and did not have any ball for last ten. Coaching staff who came up with first half tactics are to blame.
