Snowie me owd mucker, I have to tell yer Lyne was one of Agar's first signings, and when asked why he had brought him to the club he said in 3 or 4 years time he will be one of Wakey's best players and there will be a few clubs interested in him, could be turning out that way yer never know captain, not that Agar's had much input into that.

He was awesome yesterday - finally playing to his potential; he even passed the ball a few times.

If your confidence scale says he's grown 10 fold then who am I to argue, although playing in a good team may help a bit, don't get the bit where you say that Agar smothered him after bringing him in from Hull where he knew quite well his potential, potential being the operative word, and in the short space of time he worked with him would have encouraged him and not smothered him, perhaps maybe your confusing Agar with Webster in this instance.

For all Agar's faults, he certainly identified a few gems for us.

Lyne has all the attributes to be one of the very best, the strength, speed and the build and we have seen his potential in glimpses since he has been with us. He is one of those players who can make something from nothing, if he can improve on the other somewhat smaller elements of his game i.e. his decision making then he should be in that England team.

For me this season he has shown that he can be consistent with his performances, which is the only bugbear I have had with him over the past few years.

Sorry but he will never play for England, I think it is a case he is just not good enough.. Fair enough he looked good yesterday but every one in a Wakefield shirt was made too look like an international, decent enough player for us but would struggle to get another SL club

Sometimes I really struggle to believe that you are a supporter of Wakefield.

That's quite an astute observation; in my view, his biggest issue is that he often appears to be in two minds about what the best move is - when in reality, the best move is often to do what comes naturally, and do it quickly. When he gets moving, he's quick, strong, and seems to have the feet to create something from nothing.
